I was able to walk, although very slowly, unaided from the bedroom to the lounge room this morning, some 8 meters. :)
Hey Geoff, no, I won't at work Monday.
Ah ah ah.

I have taken my time as i wasnt sure i wanted to post due the fact I havent been a active member on here for a few years for many reasons and feel my view my not be waranted. With some challenges with members health at the moment and reflecting thsi forum is worth its weight in gold to particulary the Men who have or are reaching retirment age. This forum is more than just a place to read Birds constant dribble. its a place where many get to connect with like meinded peopel around our passions and like many the liflong friends that has been made with many woudl not be here today without Myswag. But we also need ot move with the times, some thoughts

- Agree to go another 12 months and see if we can get more committment from regulars, newbies and returning campoholics to contribute both on the forum and financially (me included)
- Redefine what the purpose and intent of Myswag is
- Reduce the topics and focus bank on "camping in general", campers, hybrids and caravans, and trips
- work through what topics are relavent in 2025 and what the next 10 years of Myswag could look like

As we age Myswag becomes even more improtant for many. its a connection that is hard to replicate on social media or other platforms due to the history and memories

Agree 100%
It is amazing.
When I was 18(1984), I suffered a torn cartilage, the same knee, Rugby League injury.
I had key hole surgery, Lismore hospital and I was home that afternoon.
Back at work within a fortnight.

I was awake throughout this procedure, talking to the nurses, and the anesthetist, who would of thought?

G'day all, I've been visiting Hutchy weekly now for a little while. He is improving each time I see him, He will have challenges for the rest fo his life but the people that know him know he is a fighter and to get to where he is today is honestly a miracle. I just spend time with him, and talk plenty of Shit, remind him of stuff we have done together and I talk alot about Myswag and all you funny charatcters that know him. Ocassionally I get a that cheekly Hutchy smile. Last visit he basically rolled his eyes to say fark Swannie is here again talking Shit for hrs at a time:).  He mayl never be the hutchy that many know him as physically, but inside he is still is every bit the bloke we know. I reminded him of when i first met him at the Tolmie Ned Kelly weekend and how he got me in abit of trouble  with the wife, gave him a bit of a chuckle. I'll contiue to visit him and keep tellimg him the people of Myswag are asking about him. Wendy is doing it tough, basically hasn't been home since the accident and spends every day, all day sitting in the hospital with him. The Wife and I coaxed her out for a bite last weekend for an hour, which she appreciated. I've promised Hutchy as soon as he can I'll get him out of the hospital and down to the pub, even if i gotta carry him!

Hi, aren’t we glad to live in the age of modern anaesthesia and prosthetics.
In days of yore, a gammy leg was a life sentence.
Cheers
