Driving home from Shepparton this arvo the sky got darker than a black cows guts at midnight & lightening . Then it hit , big old fat rain . The traffic slowed to a crawl on the highway , or pulled over .
When l got to town the rain gauge showed 23MM  & that was 1 1/2 hours ago & its still thundering , & pi55ing down .
The question l ask is " How long can you tread water "

My gauge tell a 41MM story  Sadly a bloke drowned in a flooded creek early this morn . As its summer the ground is hard so water ran off & with the quantity we had flash floods everywhere ,,,.
The Hume was blocked by floods at Avenel  , so cars were stranded for a time . Still overcast & cool

That is very sad to hear that someone lost their life. Some areas with a lot of damage, the whole thing seemed to pass us by I would have liked even 10mm but doubt we got even close to that.

Throw the hatches to the Shithouse!

QuoteTemperatures around Victoria are climbing above 30 degrees ahead of a warm spell to start the week. Monday is set to be a scorcher, with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a maximum temperature of 35 degrees.

The heat is expected to stick around until Thursday when a cool change will hit much of the state, bringing showers and cloudy conditions with it.

Wednesday is forecast to be the hottest day this week, with temperatures in Melbourne peaking at 38 degrees.

Same in the car park at work. The wind here is a bit of a concern added to the heat.

Air conditioner if on full noise and currently 33 inside our house. I'm about to clear a shelf in the freezer and I'm going to sit in there....
