Tentworld - The Camping Experts / Re: Ring gas burners
Last post by Jon Burrell - Tentworld - September 01, 2025, 10:52:55 AM
Hi Fizzie,

Yes, this is a low pressure regulated appliance, so it is compatible with bayonet hoses.

What makes it a little annoying, is that it's 1/4" BSP.  Which is not a fitting that's particularly common on most Bayonet hoses.

Bayonet hoses are commonly 3/8" BSP to Bayonet.  Like this one we sell:
https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/companion-braid-hose-1200mm-3-8-bayonet

So, IMO, for spare hose convenience in future, it's worth adapting it to this. (ring burners last forever, but hoses do deteriorate over time)

Unfortunately, my supplier is out of stock on this brass adapter at the moment, so I need to send you to Bunnings for that at the moment sorry.

Here's the link for that:
https://www.bunnings.com.au/gasmate-brass-adaptor-converts-1-4-bsp-to-3-8-sae_p0294236

I hope this answers your question!

QuoteAlso notice that membership has gone down to ~8500, where it was ~25k before! Take it you ditched anybody 12< months old who's never posted?

Indeed I did - deleted anybody who had never accessed the forum after registering (and had been registered for 12 months or more) or had 0 posts and hadn't logged onto the Forum for 2 years or more.

Thanks,Jillsy!

As part of the same thing, I also see that we no longer have a list of thanked posts?

Quote from: Fizzie on August 31, 2025, 11:22:14 AMJust noticed that there doesn't seem to be any "Thanks" button ???

I'll look into it - in the mean time I have activated the "like" button  ;D

You can also use the "@" symbol to tag members as well.

If either of these are abused they will be disabled.
