General Discussion / Re: Our thoughts and prayers to Hutchie

It just seems to common
Approx 6 weeks ago workmate was getting something out of the passenger side of a bogie tipper
Fell off the step and landed on his head.
Induced coma then tried to bring him slowly out of it.
Lasted another few weeks and passed away.
So many people affected from his family, the boys on the site that were present and the whole company
It's so hard to express the feelings
RIP Baz
Sorry if this is out of line with the thread but very few things in life have affected me like this

How odd, im currently going through this exact thing with my father at the minute, fell off ladder, brain bleed, 2 weeks in ICU, out to head injury ward yesterday.... I don't know Hutchie, but i hope he gets better, as i am certainly aware of the family's pain.

Yep same story in our family.
BIL fell from a ladder, hit head on the kitchen bench on the way down and although still with us  it changed and impacted the whole family.
So pack the ladders away

I think you you've missed it.
My question was, from the parents side, not the child's.

You don't use magic to disappear, ya use a 4x4 & Swag.

It's not a gender issue,
It's a mental health issue.

You don't use magic to disappear, ya use a 4x4 & Swag.

I think you're missing the point completely? What would be their issue? On what basis would they want to sue their parents, not that there would be any grounds to sue anyway.

Quote from: xcvator
Had run in with a fluckwit truck driver in an old cfa truck that had a couple prior tries to overtake and didn't have the get up and go.Tried again at the end of an overtaking lane, nowhere to go, took the lesser of 2 evils and hit the side of the truck.
Airlifted to the Alfred , 3 broken ribs, 3 broken spine vertibrae, bit of concussion , some bruising, black eyes, about 300mm of intestine removed, bruising in places I'd never heard of.
Car and van both written off

Spoke to Keith last night for hour or more... He was in good spirits.
He gave the nurses some Shit when they came in to check on him... So all must be fine with the old bugger. Still in pain and things will take time to sort themselves out and work out long term damage.

Still going to be inside for another week or so. but hes already thinking of what to upgrade to - if he can still get out and about after full recovery.

anyone done one of these 'rallys' in recent times? There used to be a dude on here that did something like it

looks like a blast to do!

Friend of wifes family just did it with his son.
Had so much fun his wife demanded they keep the car and they take her next time.
