I would really love to give this thing a new home in Australia. Its very plain to look at, but something about it has me by the short and curlys.

God I love sleepers!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9p4bga-8pkE

This is one I know from another forum, and have read the build thread:

But yes, sleepers are awesome. However, I don't think my new project is going to be a speedy sleeper... I may be asleep by the time I get anywhere due to the lack of speed:

1978 Land Cruiser HJ45. Lots of original parts (including a key with the original lock numbers!) and lots of rust patches filled in...

Jeepers Creepers

I was talking to a mate yesterday that I haven't seen in a couple of years and haven't spoken with for maybe 6 months.
Went through the usual what's new deal and he said he bought a 71 Valiant.

Me: Oh that's pretty cool, what did that set you back?
Him: $130,000
Me: Fukkin How Much?
Him: yep, a $130,000 and its all there, but a lot of it is still in boxes.
Me: What the fukk have you bought.
Him:  Leo Geoghegan's 71 Charger.
Me: What, the figgin race car.
Him: No, his E38 road car.

Its an original, big tank, E38 and is 100% the real deal, that Leo drove around it in and we believe, even towed the race car with it.
He sent me some pics to my phone, which I have no idea how to get on here.

He'll be getting in contact with Footy Shorts Shane very shortly to have some stuff done to it.

Apparently, the car disappeared for a time and was unheard of for nearly 20 years.

I can't wait to see it in the flesh.  I love cars with the history intact.

Jeepers Creepers

This 55 fronted for our Cars n Coffee meeting this morning.

Not a true clone to the Two Lane Blacktop 55, but tough as nails anyway.

Mini tubs, tuff small block, 4 speed... what's not to love.

And now for something completely different to Jeepers Classics...

This weekend was the machinery show in town, so I headed over Saturday morning, again in the afternoon and back again this morning. Didn't take as many photos as I did last year, I was just happy walking around and talking to people I knew.

Friend's "new" 1920's Model T Ford. Their 13 yo is the only one who fits in it to drive it:

Mate's lad on the lose on a big old Case from out west:

Does the tractor pull no problems - the owner did the pull with the County attached to the back, with the blade down and the brakes on as well...

Some of the old trucks that were around on the Saturday

Some of my mate's trucks that were there (excluding the Land Rover)

This little lot are owned by one of the long term local families:

We hitched a lift in the Model T; dog not that impressed with the rattles and bangs, but did OK:

Few from the Parade today:

Mate's lad in the Model T:

That little Landie again:

Mate's lass driving the Kaiser Wrecker (lass is only 16, got her L's 2 months ago...)

Quick change when some of the other tractors came through, and the lass and her bloke are back to one of the Chamberlains (and some clever comments from the MC!)

The big Oliver - powerful older thing:

Young lad in the County
