Because the idiots voted a particular government in, on with their main election manifesto that was to introduce a "new" tax call GST to make it fairer for all and decrease our overall taxes
Whatever idiots ever believed that a government would remove taxes?

Hey,
I'll put my hand up, At the time I voted for Howard.
Because we were told thst many other taxes would be abolished.
State governments didn't, federal government didn't either.

To this day, I still believe a gst is a tax that collects revenue that pays for many things that are needed.
The corrupt, of I can use that, is states fight over it, yet states still have their taxes.
Hmm, Pandora Box.

Well GST was way better than the 6? tiered sales tax model that preceded it. I remember customers complaining about it when they saw it on their bill, which from memory was a requirement to show GST on the invoice. "I'm not paying that 10% GST" until I pointed out that 10% GST was better than the 22% sales tax that they would otherwise be paying, on the parts.

Yep, when I started in the tool wholesaling game, sales tax was 7.5% (1983] , it went to 10, 15, 17.5, 20 and finally 22% before gst was introduced.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't sales tax on the materials used for the task, not on the labour, which is often the largest component of the total cost.

Hi,
Yep, and what was its end use. Black vinyl as used on sports cars folding roofs was 20 something %, but if for furnishing, was tax free .
Cheers

Bloody hell. I had forgotten about that.
You're right, there are still signs.
Now we get signs(nsw, don't know about other states) state this is a Black Spot.
Apparently a death on a nsw road, no matter what the speed limit is, ir is now a Black Spot.
So, the posted limit is dropped, which cause more frustration and motorists speed, overtake, causing more near misses.

I really want to jump off this rock, but I doubt it's going to be any better next trip round.

Something completely different.
Ok, The roof top tent hard cover market is flooded with sellers of all different outlets, as they are becoming more popular and made of lighter materials.
Many of these are the same model, branded differently, depending on retail outlet, slight differences I figure to avoid copy right.
Are they all coming out of China, and if you were in the market to sell them, who would contact?
Cheers.

Spot on, so therefore you have to have a high turnover to warrant all the other costs.
That's how kings does it.

Not to mention potential trade wars and tariffs. Very dicky time to be contemplating international trade. If you were going to do it jump in quick and get a pile of them. Friendly bank will help you. Then get a warehouse and store them before freighting them all over the country. Ten or a dozen staff, AI stock control system, and Bob's ya Mother's brother. What could possibly go wrong?

Think I'll stick with retirement.

We Bought Fysh a plated 2021 MUX,  50 000kms.
I bought her a set of weather shields & a bonnet protector.
Ordered a set for a 2021.
Well buggar me they don't fit, after much stuffing about, put the number plate into Supercheaps part finder, it a 2019 model.
Like WTF?.
So I tried a couple of more part finder websites were you pit in your number plate, Yep it's a 2019, even tho both compliance plates state, 03/21. 05/21, one is the Isuzu plate and the later is the Australian Isuzu plate.
Shannon's are happy to insure it as a May 2021, for $46000.00
How does that work?

Did you register it, or the dealer ???
Private sale.
We transferred the registration over from the lady we purchased it from in Ballina.
It had NSW rego, registered in Fysh's name NSW.
I rang the bloke who does my rego's, he can't understand it, he's been a mechanic for yonks.
He said, that's going to make it fun ordering parts, he will also service it.

May have solved it for you ???

Looked at the Isuzu Forum last night to check something myself & spotted:

2nd Gen MU-X
MY16.5, MY17, MY18 and MY19 models sold from Nov 2016 to May 2021.

3rd Gen MU-X
MY21 models sold from Jun 2021 and ongoing

When in 2021 was it actually made ??? It may well be made in 2021 but if it's a 2nd Gen then there will be slight differences in shape etc.
