Well, call me a toss, call me what you like, I call my Patrol a Truck. I know many blokes that have female names for there vehicles and honestly don't see the difference. Has nothing to do with ego, or over compensating for anything, it's just a term of endearment to your pride and joy....Call your car, truck or princess what you like.......It's there to be enjoyed.....:-)

Love my truck....:-)

You are entitled to call your positions what ever you like!

I used to have a ute I called HOS. Spent more time fixing it I thought it was a heap of .... something.....

I like to drive trucks, wouldn't like to have to pay to rego one though....

IMO, it's a complete toss to refer to any wagon-bodied 4WD as a truck, but plenty do..... ::)

I agree. It is a W@nk to refer to your 4WD as a truck - IMO of course ;D I would rather describe my 4WD and a 4WD anyway. Like I said, just my opinion.

If it's leaf sprung, it's a truck!

My Sierra has leaf springs front and rear, does that make it a b-double  ;D

So a unimog is a ute 4by? I wish it was then I could justify buying one!

Thinking if your the one sitting in a little jellybean car  the size of an egg and looking up under the front end of something three times wider and higher ... monstering you with a big steel bullbar, lights and arials etc  etc all over the place ... the word Truck might spring to mind ..  ;D

Yep, and the last time I looked, I don't live in America. Thankfully!
A 4by can be called a truck if its a ute AND bigger than a F350.

I thought they are called pick ups ? Yet referred to as a truck by some. Kind of like here.
With enough horse power, sheer ignorance and a total lack of respect for your vehicle, you'll get through....

I occasionally referred to our Defender as a truck. It was big and felt like a truck to drive, and had nothing to do with over compensating (I don't want anything bigger than anyone else's, trust me ;))

Truck was just a word.

The full name  for pickup, is PICKUP TRUCK, so some ppl call them trucks others call them pickup so both are right.

Thats why monster trucks got their name.

My Oka's a truck with the GVM at 5.5 ton.  Registration Certificate states Body type "truck". My other 4x4 is a Mazda BT-50. In Thailand the locals call it a Bangkok Truck so I guess I own two trucks now!

Jeepers Creepers

There was a TOYota  Land Cruiser on the Bruce Hwy yesterday that was laying on its side in a mud puddle.

I'm sure I heard one of the 6 blokes standing around it pointing to it say "it was TRUCKED", so I guess, its a truck, cause da guy said so.

It was there when went down to Brissie with other Jap crap (Toyota and Nissan 4 WDS) packed around it.

It was no surprise, when it was still there on the return trip, but a bloke in Jeep  ;D had turned up by then, so I bet it got towed back over on its wheels and out the mud with some good ol  Jeep power.

JEEP POWER.... :cup:

The 200 is called the "truck" in our family because this makes it easier to differentiate between the two vehicles.

Wifes vehicle is called the "car", mine is the "truck"

...........however I think there are bigger issues in the world at the moment  ;D
