Who really cares why people call their vehicle what ever they call it.  Just as long as it is used

Yeah I don't understand it. I have both a real truck and a Landcruiser, nothing similar about them at all.

Haha. After posting yesterday on this, on the way to work I pulled up behind a VW Amerock that had the private plates "ME TRUK"! Couldn't help but laugh.

Does this mean horse people get all precious when a ute is referred to as a workhorse...

My partner has referred to my Hilux as a truck for years due to its ride and I've been known to call it the 'work truck' from time to time.

Mate had a flat black 60 Series with a 350 chev, body/suspension lift, 35" muds, diff locks and extensive homemade barwork.  Everyone called it 'Truckasaurus'

Who cares? It's the same as all the people on here who clearly have CARAVANS but call them a camper or crossover? What the, hard walls hard roof, it's a caravan.  >:D >:D >:D

If it's got a diesel and it sounds like a diesel, it's a truck. Even if it is a Hatchback.

If you can lift the spare wheel on your own, it's not a truck.

That's gold  :cup:  :cup:

I hate it when people call my Hilux a truck. My Mother is the worst for it, and she should know better  >:(

Whilst on a rant, other things that piss me off,

A "Bathurst Monaro," "Aussie Muscle Car," "Holden Styleside,"

Each to their own though, call it what you want. I get called all sorts of things, daily. ;D
With enough horse power, sheer ignorance and a total lack of respect for your vehicle, you'll get through....

I've never heard a 4wd being called a lorry. I wonder why?
