It'll work a treat..... with a clear mind, we always over do it.

With a screaming headache and hangover, we just do what s needed.

Not so much what did I do in my man cave today but what I did to my man cave!

We built a little side extension off the side of our shed to give us some storage space and to free up the main shed area.

Pretty bad pics but basically we built a lean to in the same manner as the main shed was built, framed the internal wall, gyprocked it, put in a Loo and a Brewing area and then filled it with shelves and junk!

Very unorganised at this stage but at least all this sh!t is out of the main shed.

Brewing side is a little more organised as this show must go on ;)

But at least now my work space is getting a little more usable. Still plenty of old furniture etc to take to the Salvos but will soon all be gone.

Jeepers Creepers

We hit the home stretch today.

Noel travelled down from Tin Can Bay late yesterday.

This morning, the little Austin sees sunshine for the first time with its new paint.
1200 grit rub down, and then buff the Shit out of it.

We'll run some shiny new blue over the rims, get the boot and bonnet back on.

Geez, if time permits, maybe a bit of chassis black up under the mudguards too.

Then its jigsaw puzzle time from then on.

Not in shed but van.
Been meaning to replace the hand pump on sink for a while.
Found this tap when cleaning out the bins of stuff I bought home when work finished up.
Was off a old hot water system from the canteen.

Bought a small pump of ebay and works a treat. Bunnings sell in retic section a barbed joiner that is 12mm to 10mm worked well for original water hose to the silicon stuff on tap and pump

If the wind has eased overnight, i'll mask and paint the black under the Austin today.

To be able to see what i'm doing, I need the roller door up.

I tried masking it yesterday, while the Shitty Victorian wind was blowing, fukkin brown paper and masking tape all over the place until I looked like I was ready for the Post Office.

The 35L waeco that sits in second row of the prado has never had a basket in it since I found it and has a tendency to freeze things that rest against the sides.
Picked up some coreflute sheets and made a liner to fit inside.
Retirement is starting to get to me, looking for things to do. Before this I laid fake grass over the roadbase hardstand that the van is parked on.

If you get too bored, you can always mow the fake grass. Just don't put blades on the mower....  ;D

How do you achieve the different colours around the wheel's tread? Is it a few different types of wood laminated together?  Edit, is it an indentation?
Very nice.

Very nice.

Small v groove. I've turned a couple of pill boxes where I burnt the groove in with wire.
