Ok, commiserations, hope you didn't get it from a Flu injection.
I am still suffering from Hayfever after the weekend on a property north of Yea.  Mudbash wasn't as wet as it could have been, but it sure was cold enough.

finished off my second portable battery box.  35AH with anderson plug, two cigarette sockets and a voltmeter (controlled by momentary switch so battery doesn't drain):

How are you switching the output with the momentary switch? Latching relay? Can you show us a pic of your controller?

The way I read it , he's only switching the voltmeter, which is a good idea....

yeah, that makes sense... I misread it, and was wondering why you'd go to the trouble of a momentary switch to control the outputs.
Cheers.

Started sevicing the truck for our up and coming trip, little standard beep beep horn got  tossed out for a Stebel Nautilus all in one fitted, sounds sooo much better, replaced the crappy dull candles of lights with a set of 130 / 90 H4's.
The oil filter is in a mungrel spot to get any purchase on it and refused to budge, got hold of a filter socket, only a 3/8 th drive,  but made it sooo easy to undo the filter, good bit of gear for $15 ..

I like the idea of the filter socket, my oil filter is a PITA to get at. Tried the different strap type ones and they are just too awkward where it is.

Is that split conduit? I'm guessing not. If not, where do you get it and where do you get the little clamp ends?

sometimes i do too... depends on what plugs are on the end...

with the powerpoles (like in the usb cable), i sometimes use the glue-lined heatshrink for that, because it's a bit more rugged and it has a greater shrink ratio (4x more often than not)

i like it (it is a bit dearer, though, depending on where you get it) ... if i don't have any loom clips, i just use the glue-lined shrink over the ends of the split loom.

it's solid, but you can cut it off, if you need to...

Nothing special but after wrestling my welder and gas bottles around for years I finally made a stand to accomodate everything :)

Finished the stand for my new bench grinder/linisher. Used a 16inch rim as the base, a bit of 80mm NB pipe for the upright and 8mm plate for the base. Cost $30. Painted the extractors that are going on the 80 series as soon as my S/steel exhaust turns up.
