I watched on the telly, the other day.
Being Anzac Day, a story about 3 blokes who had come across the Tank they had spent a long time in, during the Vietnam War, living alone fighting.
They found it on the North Coast, NSW, it had been restored.
It was emotional, as these three Vets, two brothers, came back together,

My 80 series mirrors are breaking, 34 years old and the plastic inner hardware is cracking and failing.
Replacement mirrors are becoming hard to find at a reasonable price, so thought I'd try these.
I could never justify the price of Klearview Mirrors, for the 80.
I purchased a set of these for $469.00.
Fitted them Tuesday, easy enough, they work with the GXL electric mirror adjustment, and have LED's on the mirror like a clearance light(which I have to run a wire from the parkers fuse.
They do sell for other vehicles.

Finally someone I'd vote for!

VOTE 1 NATE NEWELL… Loves Dogs, Heavy Metal, and Fixing Cars.

It’s given many a surprised laugh and we suspect there’s a few folks hell bent on putting this Mona Vale metalhead number 1 come Saturday. We even did a double take and checked our own Meet the Candidates page (on the website fyi ) to see if he was listed!

But of course he wasn’t, because he isn’t a candidate and there is no seat of Mona Vale… this is Nate’s cleverly (no idea if legally) created ad campaign for his mechanic workshop in the area. And you know what ? It’s so entertaining we think he’s earned the free kick. 🦵 🏈

The Queensland floodwaters have reached the Salt pan of Lake Eyre today, flowing down the Warburton Groove which continues across the centre of the lake. This is just the beginning, there is a lot more water to come. The Kalaweerina Creek was bone dry last week, floodwaters have split off the Warburton Creek and are now pushing down the Kalaweerina and will reach Lake Eyre overnight. An amazing sight, thanks to Phil and Maria at Arid Air for capturing this amazing moment.

"Has anybody ever found a spot in Oz (apart from the various CBDs, deep canyons, tunnels, very dense jungle, or underwater!), where GPS won't work ???"

I've seen it happen in areas in Central Australia and a few times on the Canning Stock Route, where the gps will stop responding and not update the screen and then some time later (no specific time period) will just as suddenly start behaving normally again.

This was back before Covid, so I don't know if there was a small gap with no overlapping satellites, needless to say there was no mobile service from Wiluna to Halls Creek
