Don't recall ever slipping off the pedal....but I still remember standing up and pedalling hard and the chain broke....can't have done any permanent damage, because I fathered 2 kids, but sure hurt at the time !!    :'(

I've actually answered the phone once with.

'Been waiting for your call, the body & cash are in the boot, How long will you be?'
All I heard was, Beep, Beep, Beep.
Found out later it was a mates mother ringing to ask if I could rebuild a timber fence.
Some people have no sense of humour  :)
