We had a run a few weeks ago of wallabies and roos... One was straight under at 50ish, the roo was into the left hand corner of the bar at 80kmh. That one ended up over on the RHS of the road..

Bolts just need loosening and bar levelled up.

If you shoot a light with a shotgun it will fall to bits, tipping lightforce didn't have any shot in the shells.

Not what I'd call a big roo........Hit was bang on the spotlight and it was tightly wedged into the grill. No airbags, (no deceleration of the vehicle to set them off) and the bar is still on the car. No damage to the bar (rotated on the bolts).
The design of bullbars is to project the pedestrian (in this case the roo) up and over rather than under, so it did it's job!

The horse vid is a bit like when we hit a cow (small bull actually) 120K east of Wilcannia. Clipped it behind the ear and broke it's neck. It was dead within about five minutes, the time it took for me to walk back to the vehicle and come back with the only thing I could find to put it out of it's misery, a ball pein hammer  . When it hit, the bull spun back along the lefthand side of my Troopy Luckily, considering the number of roos and goats on the road, I had slowed down to about 85K, but even with a set of driving lights and a LED light bar, I didn't see him till it was too late. I didn't swerve, but as I slowed I did manage to gently steer around him enough to not hit it head on.

Damage to my vehicle was a bent bull bar, slight ding in the lefthand guard, and a heap of cow sh1t down the side of the vehicle and over the front LH corner of the caravan. Having the bull bar meant I could continue on with the trip, this was about 7pm on the first night of 5 weeks on the road.
