Actually for the first time ever there were no stupid loud parties in the area. There were the usual morons with fireworks but that was about it. Very low key.

My request to the rain gods only produced a couple of baby  wanabe thunder heads way off in the distance that fizzled out, but it seems the nights revellers must have picked up on the request some how any way, over all it was quite a subdued night .
Heres to a better New Year  all .

Do people still have big parties? Not seen or heard one in my neighbourhood in years. But this is an old people's area now.

No need to stay up either. a few   beers and some Barossa fortified Shiraz and off to  bed at a reasonable hour.

Then a neighbour lobs in the park opposite at 11.55 most years to wake us for the countdown  with five minutes on the bagpipes. Nice. If you like the pipes, which I do.

Best wishes to you all.

Mystee & myself did the CFA gig at the fireworks till 10.05PM then it took 20 mins to get home  ., Bloody Peak Hour traffic & at night as well  . Must have been a Huge Night , cause the roads were chockablock ,,,,,,, . We then completed a full recon of the  :cheers:at hand .
After this Recon there was a bit less  at hand . All Good
