Stumbled across this guy on Instagram from Galpin Auto Sports. They seem to be keen on tracking down some of the wackier hot rods of the 60s and restoring them.  The twin bath tub was one of the stranger ones....

My youngest daughter is in Canberra for the summernats [Leading a tour group of intellectual disabled petrol heads]
Although many nice cars and a lot of $, she said she was disappointed with the lack of "original" restorations.

Also said the World Record Burnout was an awesome sound, 126 V8's.

Thumbs up to your daughter!

Summernats has always been about modified cars.  In 98 we took a mates restored to original HJ Monaro.  Talk about being the odd one out...

Its sole purpose is burnout comps. Nothing else. Madsam is a legend donating this car to raise money for suicide prevention. Hats off to you sam.

Seen this car round. Laid down 605 hp at the hubs. Impressive for what should be a big block. Think its a 6?

If the minister for finance would only see these beauties as an investment.

I wonder about the same thing. I see a lot of rural properties, and some of the stuff they have rotting in their yard is nicer than any of my stuff. Tools are another one that gets me, not only hand tools, but power tools sitting outside getting rained on and left to rot. Does my head in.

Cause Farmers still jokingly believe they have such a thing as spare time. The also believe hiring tools is an evil dark art left to the city slickers so even though the tool will only be used once in 20 years it still must be purchased preferably second hand

Jeepers Creepers

Oh bother,

I was just putting some groceries away, when I thought I heard a bit of a rumble.
Went to go outside and as I put my hand on the door handle, I thought, ya dumb Shit.
That's the back-hoe at the neighbours place working.

Then I watched, as a fukkin VERY NICE 69 Mustang went out my gate and up the road.  ???
Stuffed if I know who it was.

Not huge fan of Mustangs, but the 69 is the best year and this one looked pretty friggin good.

Stumbled on this today too..... would've been a big hit for the damage.
Trust me, these 64 Cadillac's are built like tanks and it take a bit to do this sort of damage.

I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....

You should never walk out of the public toilets sniffing your fingers.

Would hate to see the Hyundai it hit  ;D ;D

Jeepers Creepers

The windscreen looks undamaged, which means the A pillar is fine.

Keith Dean here is Brissie has the bits on hand to fix that.

I'd love to buy it, bring it to Oz and fix it for the wife. Just a lack of funds at the moment prevent that.
Funny too, because yesterday arvo, the guy who I used to import the Fleetwood rang me out of the blue.

A coincidence.... I think not.  ;D
