Yeah, very nice Torana.

Good chance the pick up is sitting on HQ tonner chassis these days.
I think i'm a bit over the fake weathered look now.

I'd paint the ol truck in a solid light green, no pearls, just nice mint style light green, then run a contrasting fine pin strip in dark green along the swage line from the bonnet to the back.
I'd use a different wheel too, I think.

Yeah, I think if I sunk a pile of $$ into a truck like that I'd get a decent paint job so it didn't look like Mater from the Cars movie. Some of the wilder rat rods look OK all weathered, but the look is a bit overused now.

Jeepers Creepers

I had the Mini parked next to the Brock Commodore on Monday @ Lloyds.  8)

Never been a huge fan of them, so I just assumed it was a replica.... be it a good one.

kylarama

Majority of the Champion collection were replicas and a few of the genuine race cars were re-stickered sister cars to the cars Brock actually drove.

Well, we're off to Auction with the Mini @ Lloyds.

I sure hope we get the numbers for it.  ???

https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx?smode=0&aid=9180&lid=1508087&pgn=1&pgs=100

Well, only 3 and half days left and its all over on Sunday night at 9pm.
I'm pretty happy with it all so far too, another bidder entered the fun last night @ $7,900.
Its highly likely, we'll get no more bids now until its about to close, when, based on history, the last minute flurry will happen..... I hope.
We've got 11 different folks who have bid on this from $3,500 to $7,900.
Unfortunately, when it first opened weeks ago, we went from zip to $3,500 in a 12 hour period overnight before we could record any bidder rego numbers.
Its nice to know, who's who in the zoo.

I'd been hoping we'd just get a bid overnight, so the $3,500 was a nice surprise.

Heading out to check out a lead today, on a gem from 1960. Hopefully, its as nice as it seems.

love to do a barn find...

Quote1969 COPO 427 Dick Harrell Camaro Barn Find, 1 of 5 or 6 known to exist, and about 10 built!
His name was Dick Harrell and back in his days he drove a huge number of Chevys at the drag strip making him one of the best drag racers back then.

He was also known as Mr. Chevrolet amongst the racers but unfortunately his journey was cut short on September 12, 1971 when he passed away in a funny car crash in Toronto, Canada.

Aside from the many tittles and huge number of races that he won, he also worked on engines and this time we are bringing you one of the rarest cars there is, a car that was named after him and there were only 10 of them ever built and at the moment about 5 or 6 survived.

Check out this great find and see what Dick Harrell, the driver of the decade 1970 was all about in the video bellow.

Wow now that is a Bloody good find and in good nick too, A few very minor body  touch ups and clean up of the running gear would make it a neat survivor car .

Terrific find.

The original "Mr Chevoret" himself. Lots of stuff out there on this guy too.

I was the highest bidder yesterday @ Lloyds on a 1960, Ford Falcon sedan.
We are currently negotiating to see if we can get it..... no guarantee's of course.

I've come up a reasonable whack and we'll see if that shakes the fruit off the tree.

And..... once, twice, three times.... SOLD for $12,500. That's the Mini gone and we'll hear about the XK Falcon later today as to whether I've got it or not.  8)
