Was turning off at Deagon and spotted a caddy in the mirrors

No mate, it wasn't me, but there is a white 63 that looks similar that lives around the northside somewhere.

Love this beastie.
Need to find something a bit out there like this for my daughter's graduation this year.
Would stand out from the usual tarted up dunnydores and falc-hoons.

Searching in the heart of North Carolina's NASCAR country, automotive author and Barn Find Hunter Tom Cotter ventures into a garage full of cars and is hit with a lightning bolt. Parked before him is a silver 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/2, covered in decades of dust and spider webs. The Italian Sleeping Beauty has only 13,000 miles on the clock and, Tom soon realizes, is one of only a handful that were built with an alloy body. It just can't get any better than this, Tom reasons, and then—miraculously—along comes a 1967 Shelby Cobra 427.

The Ford Prefect is the best thing there.

I have a mate that collects all that sort of gear. If I need a nostalgia fix, I just go around to his house (300 metres away)  8)

He's recently bought a pretty nice MK 3 Zodiac.

Bob the builder said to Noddy  : " I could build you one "
Noddy and Bob agreed and several days later, Bob the Builder presented Noddy with his Shiny new red Range Rover .. ;D

I think it was Hemmings, who did a big write a few years ago on these things. It was good story and a pretty wild concept back in those days.

From memory, i think one ran up the arse of another at one point too.

the crane ....

because it had been in a shed for over 30 years and no longer access to the shed to get it to the street had cut out the back of shed and crane it over the house

Being an XA, Im shocked it isnt a pile of rust sitting on the ground where a car used to be.
Youd wanna be confident in those slings ;)

It'll probably be on the news tonight

I use to Shit myself when the boat was in the sling on the odd occasion it had to come out of the water, but it wasn't that high.

Nah, that's a bit harsh.  :D

Preserve... preserve... preserve is the go with that car.  8)
They are only original once and that's why I won't touch up anything on the Caddy.
Our car is far from perfect, having had more hits than Elvis, but we still have about 75% of the original paint from 1964.
Same with our trim too, although, the hood lining will get replaced in the next 12 months.

the sling ain't the only worry....i know of a 45ft'er that fell over from it's stand whilst being worked on about a year and a half ago. The boat was repaired, but if you were well offshore and heard a noise, in the back of your mind you'd have to wonder if the boat was breaking in half wouldn't you?.

Could the Hood lining be carefully  steam spot cleaned Kev or some otherway .I dont recall any tears in it Or was it a bit threadbare in places ? . Can you still get the original material / Hood liner kits from  traders in the states ..
I know the Brother got OEM Grade Hood liner kits for his Cortina Trio,   from specialists in England at fairly reasonable rates ..

That was our neighbour across the road!!
Whole street came out to watch, I was getting regular picture updates from my wife.
It's been sitting in there for ever, and our next door  neighbour and Barney's (the owner) son finally convinced him to part with it!!
I'm spewin i didnt get to see the "extraction", it was a pretty big deal; news crews, car programs and magazine photographer's.
Cool thing is, Alan Moffatt was there to witness the whole thing!!
