I can see there was a Honda Civic worth $400 more than the Torana, bit different to todays collector's market.

I actually sat my driving licence test in a Civic like the one for sale in 1981 and bought my first car a 76 Corolla panel van for $2600

Is the value of these cars going to drop due to lowering demand?

Example kiddies when they get older wont be excited by an A9X/GTHO as they would a Shitty Yaris\Gold\Fiesta etc GT in 40yrs time, not that any of them will still be running

You're right on the money, just like I didn't want a model A
The next generation are already buying what they want - Rice rockets 

I think good example rare cars will always hold their value but we have seen some very inflated values on 60's & 70's cars up to this point.
You don't want to get stuck with a "Tribute" car (or faker as we used to call them)
A9X's & GTHO's will always be worth good money but maybe not the silly money they are asking at the moment (They are much rarer than anything out of the US)

Effective as of Monday 21 JULY 2025 at 9am, ALL OPERATIONS at HEATHCOTE PARK RACEWAY WILL CEASE.

The owners would like to thank the public and the drag racing community for their support over the years.

The decision to shut down operations is due to many factors and pressures and wasn't taken lightly.

The combination of regulatory authorities and their notices, lack of racer numbers, rising expenses and public complaints for noise etc has now deemed the facility not to be viable.

We sincerely apologise to the racers and enthusiasts that will no longer have a facility to safely enjoy their love and passion of motorsport and to the young people who were able to let off steam in a safe and controlled environment.
