Wow, what started as something small has really grown. There have been some ups & downs but to Brett & the other "Founding Fathers". Thanks guys, Myswag has become know as the Premier Forum for all things relating to Off Road Touring & camping.

Now do we need a pool to predict when we will hit the 20k mark?

Which really should happen.  Can be generous, but if it hasn't been used in 12 months you can guarantee they have forgotten about it, or at least forgotten the password.  Send a warning email, and clean 'em out.

I regularly look at the member list, and I've contemplated deleting those accounts that have registered but never activated, and maybe those that have never posted, though there is plenty in that group who have spent a lot of time reading but never contributed their own thoughts, experiences or images.

I will say that I think growth has not been all positive for us, the standard of conversation is well below what was originally the standard, and the number of non-camping threads has proliferated, and many of these are the most popular.

One of the best things about a forum is that is has depth and history; you can search this. No one does, but you can.
If we were to delete those members who haven't logged on for <<a period of time>> we'd be messing with the flow of threads, subscriptions etc. There is no way we would do this.

Also, I have coined the phrase "forum fatigue". Every now and again folks just have something else to do for a while, or need a break and so they become inactive for a period.

If they are members and not logging in they have already excluded themselves, so deleting them won't achieve much in the grand scheme of things!

PS are we still on for the Perth show?
