That's a very good point; Plusnq....   (about where our collective health tax dollars get spent...)    But the young we do need to invest in as this is our nation's future...

Regarding the elderly - I marvel at how relativity healthy; and well preserved; older people (on much better diets) are - in other parts of the world...   (Think parts of the Mediterranean; Japan; etc...)

Charlie Sheen has Aids..

He got it from being in two and a half men.

Charlie Sheen is expected to announce he's the Hollywood actor diagnosed with HIV, after rumours swirled about a superstar hiding their diagnosis from partners.

The former Two and a Half Men star will appear on NBC's Today show to make a "revealing personal announcement", the network said.

Hollywood gossip website TMZ reported that Sheen would confirm his diagnosis, following recent media reports.

The interview was announced just as the National Enquirer prepared to publish a story confirming his HIV diagnosis.

The article includes interviews with his ex-wife and other former partners, who said he didn't disclose his HIV status to them, Radar Online reported.

Sheen has previously boasted of sleeping with up to 5000 women.

Last week, Britain's The Sun reported that an A-lister, described as "a womaniser", had known of his HIV-positive status for years

His lawyers were said to be bracing for potential legal action over his failure to disclose his HIV status.

"The reality is that if he's knowingly put women at risk then that's disgusting and it's only a matter of time before that becomes public," a source told The Sun.

The rugby world is in mourning following the tragic death of All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu.

The former New Zealand winger, the star of the 1995 World Cup, was 40.

The All Blacks team doctor said it was an unexpected death, according to a report from New Zealand television station 3News.

Jonah Lomu was a real legend, a giant of a player.  Very sad news but it seems he has been suffering ill health for a while.   Kevin

A wonderful guy.

Lomu was one of the greatest players and most entertaining players and would have been a real legend of the game apart from his illness cutting his career short.  His abilities continued off the field making him a very popular man.  Shame to lose a great man, feel for his family.

I'd hate to be in Paris right now
few from work are supposed to be going there for a meeting next week... bollox to that.

At least one terror suspect has been killed, a female suicide bomber, during a police operation in the Paris suburb of Saint Denis.

Explosions, heavy shooting, and automatic gun fire were concentrated around an apartment in the centre of the suburb where three suspects were holed up.

The target of the raid was the suspected 'mastermind' of the Paris attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud
