It's crazy how some artists just totally escape you over the years. Have just been exposed to Geoff Healey a couple of days ago but had never heard of him until then. What an artist and so sad a short life.
Will be searching for some of his stuff now.

Been enjoying a few instrumentals lately.

Brant Bjork (the original drummer and founding member of Kyuss) always pumps out some easy flowing grooves...

Storytime are an older band from Perth that only do instrumentals. A bit heavier then that Brant Bjork track, but still a good flow and gets my feet tapping...

Kicking back with a George Dickles and playing Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic.
Only 2 days off. And the weathers gonna be crap. Mumble mumble mumble.... Enough to drive a man to drink. Thank god for music!

All of the girls in our house go out on Tuesday evenings and foolishly leave Dad at home along for a few hours.
Usually this means a couple of quite beers in the shed tinkering on something, but this weekend we're going on a trip with the Sierra and the Jeep and the trailer. They all needed some shed time for their pre-trip check ups.

So...... A man is left unsupervised, servicing and doing mechanical checks on his favorite toys, in his shed with a few beers and playing his favorite heavy metal on a stereo that's not short of a watt or 2....

I must have lost track of time (and count of beers ) because next thing I know I'm standing there in my greasy Motley Crue t-shirt, with a cold beer in my hand, staring longingly at my freshly serviced Sierra and trailer parked in front of me in my shed, when the family walk in behind me shouting "what the hell is this music!!"

MMM Classic rock had a special on the 50th Anniversary of Electric Ladyland the other night. Doesn't seem that long ago that Jimi was around. All along the Watchtower still amazes me with it's brilliance and Hey Joe, well what can I say. RIP Jimi, we still have your recordings to listen to
TUG=GU ST 2012 Ute, CT = Modcon Imperial HF
We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.

I'm flashing back to the '8-'s with the new Jean-Michel Jarre album lol - so many synths hehe
We've swapped from the camper to a van yay! :)

Just been watching a few YouTube videos of Leo Moracchioli covers of classic (and not so classic) covers with a metal twist. Check out Sultans of Swing feat. Mary Spender.

I really injoyed the new ABC live music show "The Set" last night.

Ball Park Music and some of their friends belted out a bunch of great tunes.
They even threw in a pretty good Beatles cover;

So much good Aussie talent.
Tia Gostelow was fantastic;

And I'm not a huge fan of the album version of this Ball Park Music song, but this live version had me bopping along.

Been catchin up on the Rubens set from the pervious week on iveiw this morning.
Will try to watch this show more in the future.

Edit.
Those links didn't work quite as well as I expected...

She shot to (her 15 min of) fame several years ago, certainly is talented. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-QdjnA2vtI
