Enjoying sitting outside with the sunshine smiling down on me.
Listening to records and enjoying a beautiful day.
Thought Id share this one. Archie Roach is a great singer songwriter. This is the raw version of his Looking For Butter Boy album.

Tribal Groove!
Heard these guys at Eumundi Markets, Pretty easy listening but a couple of songs that could get out there with the right exposure. I do see Kedron DVD's are using their music on them.

While not all his music is to my liking, this live album showcases his extraordinary talent.
Hot August Night.

Great taste mate. Tedeschi Trucks are one of my favourites.
Seen them twice, and Derek once with Clapton.

Glen,
I must be living under a rock. I had not heard of them as a band until recently. I had seen Trucks playing with Clapton on Foxtel.

I am now a strong convert.

He also did a stint with the Allman Bros.
She had her own band too and is also a great guitarist.
They are married, but it was too hard touring etc, so they amalgamated both bands.
Have a listen to his albums
Songlines and Already Free.

"The Storm" is one of my favorite Tedeschi Trucks tracks.
And I happened to stumble across them while discovering the Allman Brothers Band a few years ago.

I was going to post in the made me smile thread, but here is just as appropriate...

Was at my cousin's wedding on the weekend and having a catch up with my uncle that still plays in the band that he formed in 1974.
They where pretty popular back in the day, even got to play on countdown/beatbox towards the end of their time together. In the late 80s they took a couple of decades off to raise families and stuff, then reformed a few years ago. They can still pull a crowd at the pubs playing rock covers these days.

My uncle and I got to chatting about all things music (as we usually do) and I was blown away when he told how he's still discovering music today and the variety of sounds that catch his ear these days. It was almost word for word how I would describe my crazy random musical exploration and going down the rabbit hole following a specific sound or groove.
I was sitting there thinking 'how cool is this? I'm sitting here with a person almost 30 years my senior and talking about everything from The Pink Fairies to Grand Funk Railroad to Anthrax to Ramstein and back'....

And right now I'm listening to the new "Superheist" album "The History Between Us".
Only playing them because I was standing with the band at the luggage carousel in Brisbane airport when I flew back home from the wedding last night.
So far I'm not into it as much as their earlier albums from the late 90s/early 2000s, but will give it a couple of spins to see if their new sound grows on me.

Cleaned some records today, in between putting some ribs in the Kamado and a couple of frothy sherberts?
This was one of the first albums I ever bought, and it is a great live album.
Purples Made In Japan.

Dong work for Yuda always makes me smile.

Saw Dweezil Zappa in Melbourne earlier this year. Frank's music is still very much alive.

Picked up an assortment of jazz records during the week, been playing them during the long weekend here in WA, trying to get a feel for the different styles.
Sitting back with a Hennessy now, and back to my world of music.
Jack White is getting a spin this arvo

It's crazy how some artists just totally escape you over the years. Have just been exposed to Geoff Healey a couple of days ago but had never heard of him until then. What an artist and so sad a short life.
Will be searching for some of his stuff now.

We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.
