Fanfare For The Comman Man, Emerson Lake & Palmer. A revisit to a time I can't remember. Less said the better I think.

We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.

I've got an original Led Zep best of box set of 4 Cd's...only ever played once.
Was thinking of selling but the dye in the booklet that came with it has leached some colour  >:D

Not a bad group.  The song SAIL features on a you tube  clip depicting Jeb Corliss in a flying suit jumping off a cliff in Europe....very spectacular indeed
Having lots of friends on farcebook is the same as having lots of money in monopoly...means absolutely nothing!!

Still my all time favourite group.  Play them at least once a week whilst driving the car....

Did you mean LP's only played once? or they are CDs and you just don't like Led Zeppelin?
I've got the 6 LP  box set of Led Zeppelin Remastered, and that is the 5th time they have been played, in my pic.

@Bigfish yeah, mine as well... awesome band in their day.

Not sure my original Zepp LP's would be still playable. Think I might have worn the grooves out. Like the Technics player. I am getting my SL120 revamped soon. Grace 707 with a Stanton 681EEE. Need to buy a preamp too. Maybe a new power would be nice too. Though then I would need to get some better speakers.

The Four Cd set with the shadow of a Zeppelin passing over a corn field with those UFO type patterns.

Was really into them at the time, but I normally played my individual CD's 1-5 as I thought I had something special that should be kept in top condition.

Nice arm the 707. How does the geometry work though, seeing the original tone arm would have been an 'S' type arm, effectively giving a different tangential angle from the same pivot point? Also, the cartridge has one of those little brushes on the front, does that make setting stylus pressure difficult?

OK, that's the equivalent box set to the vinyl 6LP set that I have. There is also a 2CD set "Remasters" which is the one I have. The 2 CD set is digitally remastered, whereas the previous one was a straight analogue conversion from the 6LP set.

What I'd like to get is the 10 disc complete set of digitally remastered studio recordings.

I think I fixed up my quote stuff up now.

Not sure about the geometry, Unlike the SL1200 DJ special, the SL120 hifi model didn't come with a tonearm when new so you could select what you wanted. At the time the Grace 707 was spouted as a good match for it and I optioned it with a high end cartridge the name of which I can't remember now but I could not afford to renew the stylus at the time. The Stanton was a cheap replacement with stylus at an affordable level so the original was replaced. I think it may still be lurking in a box somewhere in my garage.
I always removed the brush off the cartridge to make life easier.

Oh OK, well they would have set it up right then, I imagine  ;D I'm still using my original cart EPC-U25 at the moment. Actually still the same stylus I had in the 90's, but got a new one on the way.

My older brother had all Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Cream...etc etc etc.
As we shared a room up until he left home...I couldn't help but become " conditioned " to it all and has therefore shaped some of my musical tastes.
Don't think the neighbours were thrilled...or mum and dad !!
