hill start  ;D
Local Copper,
Mine was in an XY wagon, manual, loaded to the hilt, surfboards, sleeping gear, and other crap, on the steepest hill in Byron, Patterson st at the time.
Near cooked the clutch :O
Chipped me for driving one handed, elbow out the window. Told me if he caught driving like that, he'd book me.

Apparently it's not necessary as there is always a spot that you can park diagonally in by driving in forwards.
And then be oblivious of all other vehicles and pedestrians as you reverse out blindly into oncoming traffic

Sent from me

Back in the 70s, Toowoomba was nose in angle parking in the main street. It was a pain in the butt, unless you had a shop window in front of you so you, could see approaching cars in the reflection of the glass. I got chipped by a copper one night, in my EH when reversing out, and I flicked on the small reversing light, which was operated by a toggle switch on my dash.

He asked what the light was for. I told him it was a reversing light. Then he asked why I had it on. Wasn't impressed when I gave him the obvious answer...

Would this have been a big seller?

The last Holden engineering test vehicle – a V8-powered Holden Colorado ute built by the company's performance-car partner, Holden Special Vehicles – is up for auction.

The engineering prototype was hand-built to be track-tested and torture-tested as Holden Special Vehicles began work on a top secret future high-performance model to brighten Holden showrooms amid falling sales after the end of local manufacturing.

It was fitted with the 6.2-litre V8 and 10-speed transmission from the Chevrolet Camaro and was designed to challenge the Ford Ranger Raptor.

HSV also applied the same concept to the US version of the Chevrolet Colorado, and built a test vehicle for that market too.

But the pin was pulled on both programs when US car giant General Motors axed the Holden brand in Australia in 2020.

The plan was for the V8-powered Holden Colorado SportsCat to have its engine and transmission fitted on the production line in Thailand, before other go-fast parts were fitted by HSV at its Melbourne facility.

One I just saw mentioned on another forum.

"I was admittedly surprised to hear that (reported in Vic) it is illegal to use your phone in a drive-through to pay for food unless the engine is turned off."

OP is quoting a news.com.au article so who knows if it's right or not ??? >:D, but that's an interesting one.

Can you then also be busted for showing the cops your licence, which is on your phone ???

In NSW you can only show the coppers your license on your phone after you have been invited to otherwise it is a fine

I try to carry both.
In NSW your digital drivers license isn't a form of identification with some banking institutions.
LOL, my tap & pay on my phone(CBA) works everywhere except the the local BWS, it use to.
Maybe I've worn it out ;)

I went into town yesterday for the first time in about 2 months. Went to get a haircut, and checked my wallet... $10.00.. and that would have been there for about 2 months. had to borrow some cash off the mrs.. now I got about $30.00 in the wallet. That should do me for at least six months.. :)

Is that because it has become a mens club?

Could it be related to the "Venus and Mars" phenomenon?

All the females I know that do a lot of travel and trips, post their adventures on Faecebook, normally in a 'Running Commentary' format whereas, if I bother to do a report, it's put on one or both of the fora I'm on, post event.
