What is it with some people?
With the threat of a lockdown in SE Queensland, one comment on social media was made by a woman about how angry she'd be if she had to cancel her child's "1st birthday" party!!!

I'm sure the party was all about the baby, hey!

I don't feel like joining the annual game of pretendsies this year, so I guess use my extra hour of darkness to grow some mushrooms or maybe even develop a roll of film or 2... :P

What do you use for lighting up engine bay or for changing flats in the dark.. ? I used to use a versalite but its dead and cant find the original 12v ciggy lighter style - most are rechargable

Anyway anyone got any experience with these CAT ones $50 for this setup

With anything that uses normal batteries, you can bet your bottom $, that when you need them, they'll be flat :'( >:(

A rechargeable one like X posted, or this: https://www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-450lm-rechargeable-work-light-torch_p0174956 would be much betterer (as long as you remember to charge it every once in a while!)

Yea I'd agree with that... thus why I was looking originally for the old 12v Versalite... they were amazing - but as anything decent, gone and replaced with cheap chinese Shit
Wish these sites had photos of torches working in the dark so you can actually see how effective they are - I mean isnt that what they are for... ???

Trying to avoid the need to charge - as it would be like batteries - flat when you needed the bastard ! FWIW - this is for daughters car incase anything happens. Shes only on her Learners, but I want to set it up safe and right early and show her how to change tyres, check fluids etc.

We have one of these for our camp site. Plugs into a ciggy outlet, and assuming your are not battling a flat battery, should light up enough 8)
We've waited 45 years to do this. Now our life will be complete!!

Thanks GG, I just bought their small camp light.

I've been looking at getting a new work light for the garage, getting old and needing lots of light to see stuff these days :(
