Picked up a couple of cheap rubber door mats to leave at the van & annex door.

(& made in India, not China! )

They have a very strong "rubbery" smell to them though

Any ideas of how to get the smell out

I have a large rubber mat  5ft x 3ft that is about 5 years old, on hot days you still get that rubbery smell, so I'll be interested in what people come up with.

Victoria Police reunite stolen Holden Torana dubbed 'Sexy Lexy' with 74-year-old owner

A stolen 1973 pink Torana dubbed 'Sexy Lexy' has been reunited with its owner after 28 years.

Carol's beloved car was stolen in 1992, but she never gave up hope of finding her wheels.

Some neat detective work unravelled the mystery, when a fellow car enthusiast from Victoria's vehicle crime squad put the brakes on a rebirthing syndicate.

The syndicate had modified some of its stolen vehicles into high performance muscle cars, selling them off as genuine.

When an unsuspecting buyer bought a number of cars from the syndicate between 2008 and 2011, one of them was Carol's uninsured Torana.

Exhausting detective work landed a Parkville man in his 50s a two-year wholly suspended jail term last month and an order to pay $560,000 in compensation to the unwitting buyer.

So I bought 2 of those 4ltr click on the hose job weed n feed containers like below....

Has anyone ever managed to find a hose fitting that actually allows more water to go INTO the bottle than into orbit

I've tried both bottles and a plastic and brass hose fitting and it pisses everywhere.

The water flowing over the top crates a venturi action sucjing the contents out.  The water doesn't actually go in to the bottle

I found one of the cheap ones from Bunnings worked best (sorry don't recall the brand)
Maybe grab a week killer off the shelf at Bunnings and take it for a walk to the hose fitting row

I've had some that have been difficult to connect, but never to the point where they wouldn't eventually spray properly.
Sometimes they just need a bit of extra muscle to make the connection.

Is this like the awning pole on your camper?.....

If so, will it suck water up the dip tube?
They are supposed to suck a fixed amount of product per litre of water passing through the venturi and spray the mixture as you need it.

the problem is the fitting on the hose (plastic or brass) itself doesnt fit onto the fitting on the bottle properly... theres no way on gods earth to lock it on fully - thus more water pisses out everywhere before getting into the 'nozzle' bit of the bottle fitting

I've used the granulated stuff before in big bag and that Shit worked well!!!  but its a PITA to dish out, thought this might be easier

first thing I checked farkin tight on there too... thought of removing, greasing and putting back on but cant budge it.

the clip on hose fitting is like throwin a sausage down a hallway, theres no way its going to seal.
