I love a nice cold boutiquey style beer once in a blue moon. I can't drink the mass produced rubbish, VB comes to mind. So does anyone have a favourite brew manufactured by a small brewery?  Not homemade as I can't buy it unless you have a licence to sell liquor. :police: LOL

Preferably available in Melbourne.

Take a cruise in Belle up to Holgates brewery in Woodend @ Keatings hotel, try a few samplers and take a six pack home, don't mind a pale ale or pilsner. If you need someone to support you in the process of trying them out, pick me up on the way through :)

Don't mind Fat Yak.
Lately been spending a lot of time at my local Mexican restaurant (Carlos Caitina) where they serve Dos Equis Amber which is also nice.
As I type I am sipping some Bintang.    Got a taste for that on a recent trip to Bali.

Moo Brew pale ale or dark ale.

"Not suitable for Bogans" is imprinted on their plastic  beer cups which are much better than the ones you get at the footy.

My brewing aim is to reproduce a reasonable Irish cream ale like Kilkenny.  Have got the taste right, still working on head and carbonation issues.

Love 'Fat Yak' and have taken to home brewing it.

Give the Vale IPA a go but you must pour what ever you are drinking into a glass to get the real taste.

Recently I was in Tassie and dropped into Squires Bounty (Salamanca) and they had 'Hop Thief' on tap. It was sensational.

Anything German. Made to a strict brewing and ingredients protocol.

Better quality and cheaper than local home brewed cats piss.

Germans do some great non alcoholic beers, You wouldnt know your drinking alkohol frei, except you can 'legally' drive home afterwards.

When I got married, by Dad can sometimes get a bit out of hand and obnoxious when hes had a few.....   SHowed him where the free beer was, (alcohol free) and jeez, be the first night he's ever had a bellyfull and behaved himself.
Our wedding went off without the dreaded fear of an embarrasing old man. !!
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....

No not really. The only time I have one is when we go away or after work on a warm day. I will definitely have a few on our travels up north for sure. (Once camp is set up). This is why I am enquiring. I want to take a few stubbies for the drinks fridge.

Yes Wayne, at the camp site, called "Handover" people can drink.  The alcohol cannot be openly displayed in the community, or supplied to a community person, that WILL result in immediate removal from country.  I know you would not give such to anyone, but I still emphasise such rules.
