Moggy

Hi to everybody, have been trolling (what a Shit term) for a few weeks now & enjoying the reads & pics immensely. Still shopping for CT. Started off just looking for basic, but now looking for hard floor, but also have to look at vehicle, so have really enjoyed the discussions through out & feel the info on this site is invaluable.
Not sure if this is the place but has anybody had any experience with camptime campers (www.camptime.com.au) or guardian campers???
Looking between these & leisuretime or wild boar. All seem similar & imported, so probably the sales (&after) service is going to be critical to me party with the cash. Being in Mackay (NQ) want to be sure i make the right decision as any issues arent likely to be easily fixed.
As i said i have read through numerous forums with great interest & feel i'm getting very close to the decision process.
If anybody has any crucial advice for making a decision the input would be appreciated.
Planning trip to Townsville camping show in Sept so hopefully plenty of displays & good advice & service.
All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible.

G'day Moggy,

Welcome to the forum......... can't help u with any info on the CT's you asked about as i don't know too much about those brands.... but don't forget the great CT's that pop up on the classifieds on here......
I'm sure a visit to the T'ville Camp Show will help you out with your decision making process, either that or just make you confused, hehe.
Another tip is to maybe hire a CT (if you haven't already) this can help you sort the tick list on what you want in a CT.

Catch ya round.

Welcome Moggy,

You have the right idea in going to the Show. This way you will see a lot of different types that are available in your budget.
All the best and happy camping and keep us updated.

It all depends on budget. Hard floor campers aren't cheap however there are a few imports that don't look bad. I have a Aussie Swag quality built and pricey but you get what you pay for. Dont buy the first one you fall in love with. good luck

Tell me about it ... made that mistake with the wife ... although technically I didn't buy her ... I've been paying for it ever since.

Welcome Moggy,

As for the decision making ... make a list of your Must Have's / Can Mod's / Can Live With's ... then compare the CT's side by side on the list ... bit for bit ... bolt for bolt ... zipper for zipper ... and compare that to your list of Must Have's / Can Mod's / Can Live With's ... the CT that makes it closest is the one to go for.

I used an excel spreadsheet for my comparison ... and I could easily see what they had, what I got, what I could live with, and what costs were involved for all the bits, bolts & zippers.

Good luck with your CT search moggy. My brother bought a hard floor from Townsville based company. It is similar to LM, Wild Boar etc. PM me if you want the CT details and costs.
