We are in Halls Creek WA having travelled the Tanami and the Oodnadatta tracks. Lots of red dust and beautiful desert views.

i've just spent the past 2 days trying to clean that red dirt off / out of the Cruiser and camper trailer....we just got back from driving The Plenty Hwy and onto Ayres Rock, Finke Rd to Lamberts Centre, Oodnadatta and Strzelecki Tracks, and The Merty Merty through Cameron Corner and onto Noccundra to home.....that red dust got everywhere. Been bloody cold outback of late, was -1 most mornings we were out in the centre.

The End of the Line....we got stuck there for several days years ago on an Endevour Car Rally, it rained and closed all the dirt roads in the area with the black soil that is there. We ate the town out of just about all it's food, one more day there and they needed to organise a food drop for us. That blacksoil mud was falling off from under my fourby for weeks afterwards, you couldn't hose the crap off, just wait for it to dry out and fall off on it's own.
