Made up a mezzanine floor for the wifes shed so there is more storage with the camper out of the weather.

200 pfc along wall screwed into uprights of existing shed with tech screws. 90x90 post on rhs screwed to wall girts with tech screws. 90x90 post lhs just sitting there at the moment but will have 90 degree angle bolted to slab and connected to post.
240x45 lvl for main beam. 140x45 joists holding 9mm cd ply for floor. Only light materials on top.so no need to go too crazy

Didn't take any photos as I was a bit pressed for time but changed the axle in the camper from sitting over the leaf springs to sitting under. Only took about an hour and a bit. Has given me what looks to be about a 40mm lift or so. Should stop the new slightly larger than what it came with BFG KO2s from hitting the inside of the guards which I had noticed it had been.

Made a new stand for the bench grinder. Used a semi trailer brake drum as the base. I wanted to be able to move the grinder around but still have a heavy enough stand that I can put a bit of hurt on it. Seems to work well.

For a straight axle, the total lift will = axle thickness + (2 x axle pad thickness) + spring pack thickness.
Probably a bit more than 40mm.

Spent the last 2 days working 12hr night shifts, having 4hrs kip and then then next 5 hrs under son number 2s car showing him how to change a clutch.
Just finished sitting back having a beer. Probably be zzzzz in about 2 hrs.
Good thing is hes keen and has a go.
If it was my car I would have put it into a shop and worked a days over time to pay for it. Too old for this crap any more. The things you do for your kids.

Might have to work it out one day. Either way it is a fair bit higher which is good. Will take it for a tow in the next few days to let the springs settle as it is leaning a little to one side from when I lowered it back onto the ground. Or might get the kids to jump on the top of it haha.

@Coolblue80 I built one similar years ago, but used a car break drum for the base. It was a bitch to weld from memory too. The cast of the drum kept cracking. But got it to stick in the end, and bolted it down with a couple of dynabolts.
Here's another good use for the big brake drums. We've had this heated to cherry red some nights, sitting around it having a couple of beers.

Doesn't that Shit you to tears. Wifey's 18mth old Pajero is the same. I have threatened to take the car off her. Don't dare tell her to clean it though. All hell breaks loose. But if you leave a crumb on the bench in the kitchen.......................

Actually thinking about making another one to put my bench drill on as when it's on the work bench it's way to high.
I didn't weld mine for the reason you mentioned, so I bolted a plate down first than welded to that.
They do make great burners.

This pile of timber started it's life ~80 years ago screening off under an old Queenslander in Gin Gin. I acquired it about 8 years ago and used it to make a deck in the back yard. The deck get pulled down early last year to build the new shed and this stuff has been laying beside the house since.
This morning I saved this little bit from the dump run. It will now see out its days helping to pot up our veggie seedlings and propagating native plants to regenerate our little bit of bush.

Picked this up yesterday on a local classified page. Brand new, never used. 3hp, 100l tank,  10cfm at the tool.  Cheapest I could find was 850 delivered.  Old mate paid just over a grand locally.  I tried him at 650 and accepted. Happy days.
