Made this at work today to make tools a bit more secure.
Hopefully end up getting an old car and teaching young people at work some new skills.

I turned the little guys Little Tykes car into the Batmobile.

Installed the roller door on the MIL's shed this arvo, and earlier in the day I helped build a large swinging window frame into the SIL's entertainment building that works off a pulley system. Just need to get something similar to a boat trailer winch set up now to open and close it safely once it's classed in old rusty roofing iron

Just pulled the tires off Nav to replace shoes and pads. 8 years old 120,000 k's and 70% of my shoes and pads left!! So I just put her back together. The new ones can sit in the cupboard for when she needs them...

My beard trimmer's battery used to last about 4/5 months between charges when it was new, but recently wasn't even getting through the job after a full charge. After a bit of research I managed to find a slightly higher capacity li-ion battery online. Getting the old one out needed a very hot soldering iron and solder sucker. Its all back together now and better than new, and I saved myself the $145 replacement cost :)

loaded up the car and gave the camper another once over, getting ready to leave on Friday for a 4 week trip to Kakadu.

Amway buffed my all my fishing rods, cleaned the butts so cockroaches don't chew them & rebound some dodgy guides then noticed that the external light sensitive fluoro was on in the middle of the day so undid the front of the sensor, saw several little slide control switch thingies, replaced the cover, put on some Hawkwind & had a beer or three while resorting the tackle boxes. Found a massive crack in one of my 650 Alveys  >:( Not happy there! My thumb even found a very sharp 3/0 hook hiding in a piece of rag  :-X which warranted another beer!

Found a use for the 2 switches my camper came with for the internal lighting. Each switch either lit up on side or the other with the interior LED lights. Cut the wires! made all internal lighting to one switch. The other switch now turns on LED light in the front under cabin and the storage areas, instead of using a headlamp to see what I put inside! Worked a treat!  :cup:

Then put a small Korr LED bar inside the camper facing towards the deck, with dimmer switch! So it can stay on at night with very little light coming up to the main bed area, for those early morning wee walks and to keep an eye on my puppy that sleeps in the camper too!  ;D

We put the foxwing awning on the cruiser today ready for our trip up to Mulwala. Then we welded new stabiliser legs onto the trailer - way better than the home made ones we have been using up until now!

I have been working on this project for a little while now but I have all but completed it. I bought the Holden VK Calais about 8 years ago, done a few things to it , but I have been wanting to give her a face lift and some custom fiber glass work since the first week of ownership. So a couple of months ago the rebuild/custom refurbishment of my 1984 VK Calais started.

I finished fitting the Custom front spoiler today and wanted to share  my rebuild/rebirth with my friends on MySwag.

Cheers duggie

Still working on my BIG car trailer..

Measuring, measuring and positioning, then measuring, reposition, measure, then repeat.. then weld.

today weld grind, after measuring several times.

tomorrow remeasuring, and welding on the "A" frame, but wait, its a tipping trailer so gotta only weld on the brackets for the hinge, then weld up some bracing for the moving "A" frame .....
then remove the "A" frame and flip back over measure and cut the floor sheets...

Going to take off the "A" frame so I can turn the main tray around and bring my rig back in out of the rain. one of the benefits of a tipping trailer

Got few jobs done on the old trol.
New hose for rear factory diff breather and filter, future plan to plumb in higher than chassis but better that the hose hanging lower than the top of the diff.
Reattached part of the sway bar dissconnect to make the factory lever work again.
Refitted steering damper
Gave old girl a good grease.
Refitted the passenger seat and kick panels.
Todo list still way longer than done list but it's a small dent at least.

You're a very talented man mate.
Next time I'm up that way I'd like to call in a take a look if that's possible.
I had a beautiful VL until an apprentice liked it better than me and took it for a joy ride and changed its shape to a mini minor :'(

Did the water pump, timing belt and idlers, alternator and power steer belts a week ago. Now had a look to retention the new belts and the damn CV boot on the right hand side has a huge tare in it and grease throwing out everywhere, now I got this out doing the boots and greasing the joints.
