went and found out about how close I could build new shed to sewer line.

Turns out that sewer is concrete encased so with a little piering I should be able to build as close as I want to it

Mate, I nearly had to offer up my firstborn to build my shed over the sewer line. $500 just for the engineers drawings and then another $500 for council to consider and approve it, then I ended up using more concrete in the supporting piers and beams than I did in the actual slab. I had 6 piers at 2400x300 with 12mm rio cages and then three beams of 500x500x3600 with 20mm rio cages straddling the tops of the piers. I told the wife we should have built a cyclone bunker under there while we were at it.

We put in a pool at our last house, got the searches done for the sewer line etc by council - all fine no problem go ahead they say, plenty of room from where the sewer line is. Excavator comes in first dig finds the sewer line 900mm inside the line it should have been towards the new pool. Council then blames the developer as he is long gone. OK what can we do we say to the council as the pool has to be 1 meter from the sewer and there is no room to move the pool sideways. We can move the sewer line they say, only $45K to you as you are a fine upstanding ratepayer or you can make the pool width thinner. The pool was costed at $22K. & $45K just to move 10 m of sewer line >:D >:D
Pool guy says how about we use the old cement slabs that were the path before as a wall between the pool wall and the sewer line. Council engineer says "what a good idea" and stamps the modification.
Councils, They don't have to think, just stamp or no stamp

Made up a dual socket for the camper. I had a dual cig/usb dash mount but don't have a lot of room where I want to put it in the camper. So I went to Bunnings (don't tell my work....) and got some PVC pipe and end caps. I drilled out the end caps and screwed the sockets in to the caps and slid over the pipe. So its a 25mm pipe with a cig socket 1 end and twin usb at the other! Will try it out this weekend.

Fitted a new ryco pre-filter and water trap to my 80 series today. Supercheap put the wrong tag on the shelf so instead of about $65 for the kit, I got it for $11.95  ;D. Just had to make up a bracket and buy a short length of hose.

They get it wrong a lot, I scored a reasonable compressor, hose and air tool kit for less than the same air tool kit was being sold for by itself.

Its fine but why not set up a thread in the showroom section so this does not get buried in all the man cave action

Only a simple project, but for $10 made a shower platform out of treated pine deck.
On the basis it's good for everything to have 2 purposes, it can double as an entry door platform to scrub sand and dirt off shoes before you enter the camper.

Oh and serviced the chainsaw ready for next weekends camping trip

Not today, but on the weekend I made this. It will soon go up on the roof, after I have made a cupola for it to sit on. The question is, do I paint it or do I leave it rusty ???

Looks great rusty :cup:
Once you paint it you will need to do it again in the future, so I'm for rusty as well.
