Just spent a lovely afternoon putting rubber around the bars of the trailer stoneguard, attached with cable ties, also rubber to the two front corners of the trailer and ends of pole carrier, where the stones get past the guard. These were glued.
Im hoping this will be a bit of protection for both the trailer and the back of the car..ie may stop wayward stones hitting the guard and bouncing onto back door of car.
Anyway I had fun.

wired up my offroad trailer (2) , tail lights, clearance lights, and electric brakes.

took all day, thats cos I did a few silly things.. like forgetting number plate lights.

also ran the cable for the handbrake and didn't find any guides to run the cable in. Guess what I have to do tomorrow. first scratch off the nice paint, then weld the guides on, then scrape off the crap and repaint.. wish I remembered to weld them on when the trailer was raw and upside down at the start. ohh well...

Havent tried it in low range yet
But in Hi range when you hit the switch it drops about 200 rpm and pulls really well and noticed a big drop in trans temp
For it to work in first and reverse l need to put the Nomad valve body in

Tidied up the wiring to the crank battery, as part of working towards fitting second battery.
Mounted a Jaycar 'bus bar' on top of the fuse box lid. All positive wires fitted off to it, then a single wire to battery - other than the 6B&S wire to the dual battery circuit breaker.
Also cleaned out the trailer.
Yesterday I  did a bit of grinding to the tips of the pins that hold the rear legs of the trailer, so that I can lock them down with padlocks, in place of 'R' clips. Just another minor safety precaution.

Both cars washed and vacuumed, started at 7am before it got too hot/sunny. Wife drove the Prado during the week and on the only rainy day for months she decides to park under a gum tree and get the Prado covered in sap :'(
