Fitted new rubbers to the mounts on my intercooler on the patrol

Nearly had a dummy spit trying to put one of those elastic cargo nets over all the gear in the ute tray ready for the Fraser trip. How DO those hooks manage to get soooooo caught up on everything that you don't want them to. Does anyone else have this problem or does my net just hate me??

I was the same the first time I used one. I had kittens.

Great once on, but aweful to put on. Now, I take a deep breath, take all of the hooks off and start from scratch each time.

Yep I have one on m work ute. God it drives me bonkers. I now ave one without hooks, but the netting still catches on everything I goes near

opened the camper up today and fixed (i hope) the interior light that has been playing up and not working all the time. wasn't expecting the circuit board i found behind the switch panel when i removed it though, wiggled some wires and hopefully found the loose connection that i then sorted out (maybe?...lol)
then i moved the auxillary internal radio control panel i had mounted previously, to another location which will allow me better access to the light switches inside the camper. after that i fixed the stove knob that had fallen off (lost a circlip a while back), i just dabbed some silicone on the back of it and shoved it back on...lol.. just hoping the small hole i saw in the centre of the spindle as i shoved the knob back on it, doesn't have the hole there for sucking in air, because it won't do that anymore, guess i'll find out next weekend at the meet up when i go to use it next....lol.

Made up the LED light bars to hang up through the camper Had enough left over to make one for the back of the Jack as well

How long did the red paint last?

Just wondering too - what did you use to cut the top out? I'm trying to score an old forklift bottle (I already have a pig) to do something with and was wondering how to cut the end out as neat and without blowing myself up (though I do like a good explosion  )

The red paint is heat proof paint ...its more heat proof than pot belly black paint its still ther just a little faded and flaked a where I didn't get all the old paint off. The hole on the top I cut with an angle grinder with cutting wheel on it

Steffo your not on your pat malone with those cargo nets, Iused to just take each hook completely off and reattach where needed, much faster that way..

Not exactly in the shed but spent Sunday loading all the gear from camper mk1 into camper mk2, seasoning canvas etc.

Installed the Anderson plug at the rear of the tug with a smart isolator and manual reset circuit breaker.

After lunch it's the Redarc brake controller. $150 brand new from in town here.

Put a couple of 15x33s on my offroad trailer, and hopefully fixed the overheating problem.. the backing plate was welded on crocked, so put a couple of washes between the backing plate and the other backing plate, is it called the axle plate, well I welded it on crooked, so hoping I have fixed it using those 2 washes.


anyway the trailer look better with bigger tyres on and I also fitted my old bundera white rims, which make it look better than the black rims I had on.

When you build another trailer assemble the brake hub/drum/backing plate and weld on flange then slide on to the axle
Then put the drum on with the bearings tension as normal now slide the backing plate back into the drum and the weld on flange witch is bolted to the backing plate to wear you want it now adjust the brake shoes out hard on to the drum this will center and square the backing plate ready to weld
Does that make sence

I did most of that, except brakes, on one side, but I vaguely remember rushing the side thats been causing the trouble.

Top idea Champin! Where did you get heat shrink big enough to go around the poles? We've got a few different sizes from Jaycar but none that would fit the poles.
