Not in the garage but in the house. We had some new curtains and rails installed and I've been patching the holes from the previous rails. Some of the larger holes from the plugs are about 10c piece size. I stuffed them with rolled up paper towel then filled with filler, sand back, then final fill. Is it just me or is it 1 step forward 2 steps back with filler. I get it almost perfect then my OCD tries to get it perfect which buggers it and I have to start again. These particular holes are eye line when sitting on the couch so they have to be perfect otherwise it will annoy me.
What I use is,
Piece of ply strip, liquid nails, fill in piece of plaster,
Patching Plaster, a little warm water(helps it set quicker), let it set, sand.
It is tempting to play with it, Don't.
If I am in a real hurry, I will use a heat gun to speed up it setting.

I'd get an icy pole stick or similar and tie a bit of string around the middle.  Liquid nails or other glue on each end and then drop it through the hole.  Pull the a trying so the stick holds against the back of the plaster.  Once dry you have some solid backing to fill against.b

They're some good ideas. My problem isn't getting the bulk of the hole filled, it's the final swipe with the scraper that isn't level.

How wide is your scraper, I would use one at lest 150mm wide.

There are plastic ones for gyprock/plaster up to about 300mm, they have a slight curve to them for joints, the wider the better I have found.
Give a wider one a go.
Cheers

Definitely wear a mask when you're sanding it, they took it off the market for a while due to a belief it was carcinogenic, and bought it back under a different name

Looks great Pottsy.

All it needs IMO  is a water tank on the back...

Nearly every Blitz i have had anything to do with was either a fire truck or Heavy Duty Tow truck....

Got a quote on a 3x2 storage space today, $2225 per year. I might reduce some of my stuff to fit in the garage...

I have been getting stuck into my MK1 Escort project. I originally built this car in 1991 as an 18 year kid. Sold it in 1996 to never see it again until it appeared on eBay in 2017. Being the idiot I am I couldn't help myself and bought the car back. She was in a sad state compared to the condition I sold it in but everything was there. Quite a trip down memory lane!

The fibreglass body kit was well past it and style wise belonged in the 90's so it's gone. As the shell was cut to fit the body kit back in the day I have replaced it with steel factory type works bubble arches. Plenty of work ahead but it's heading in the right direction!
