Well I arrived at Seisia yesterday with GeoffA as the others were camping at Noland and arrive today at Seisia.

What a trip!! We all got everyone across Palm Creek , some with camper and some slight panel scratches. Duggies snatched everyone up.

The track has varied from last year and some crossings are easier. Still a lot of water in some crossings and some very challenging entries and exits.

Everyone on the track knew we were coming  ;D

Paulp has had some bad luck with an alternator in his discovery going at Cooktown and then after catching up with us at Twin Falls he got stuck in lagoon creek and flooded his car and is being towed to Seisia.

Nolans creek is just about impassable, some get through but if you have a camper, no way, it is over the bonnet. Duggie snatched all of us through plus others.. I have a video from inside the car of me being snatched and water went straight over the wind screen. The water was hitting my bonnet.

Who said we would not get 27 cars from the bottom to the top of the OTL...

Will update later.

Pics are coming soon. As Mark said unfortunately we drowned one vehicle at Nolans. Our hearts go out to Paul and Maria who are now loading their Discovery onto the barge to Cairns.

We got everyone else through, there has been a bit of damage this year.  Tim also tore the axle out of his camper so is currently getting that repaired.

The weather was kind to us on that day, unfortunately it has been a bit wet up here.  I am currently typing this in one of the huts at Seisia while the rain is pouring down.

I'm sure McGirr will do the trip report when he gets back.  I have about 4000 photos here to go through so it might be a while before they get posted up.

Symon,

Made Townsville last night, 2 days to travel down from Seisa.

Road conditions from Jardine ferry to OTL good with a few corrugations around the corners, higher percentage of corrugations when nearing the OTL, side tippers working along the area close to OTL.

OTL to Captain Billy turnoff, side tippers working close to OTL. Road east is severely corrugated, one small section of bitumen in place.

Capt. Billy to Bramwell road is in good condition with corrugations on most corners. Musgrave south road in fair condition road works just north of Hann River Road house.

Averaged 75K's per hr along the dirt.

Will post some photos later today for those who are requesting.

regards, Chris.

Just a teaser, Myswag member entering Mistake Creek, That's JK at the bottom directing the traffic. only wished he directed me rather then videoing me almost putting the OKA on it's side. I'm sure JK will post the video.
