Thanks for putting that together. I also like the extenda style, for ease of access to the bed, storage space and even the extra length on the tent.

Which way are you leaning?

Me? I only get 49% of the vote. But wife really likes the Lifestyle Elite. Especially all the lockable compartments and storage room it has to offer. I concur.

We are going to the Canberra show to have a good look

I'll do all the electrics myself and want to fit it out with dual batts, 200w solar, 240V and 12V systems, plus hot water, 12v lights etc.

Want to be able to rock up to a park and not be constrained to a powered site only

Ray Clarkes, Country Campers do one as well, him and Aaron from Redback are the original designers of the Walkway Camper.

They got the idea from Jims Mowers trailers, the prototype was made from Plywood, they took it to Cape York and back as a test.

Thank you so much for this list. we are in the market and looking for a camper for a 12 month trip we are doing around Australia. This is a great list and as we make our decision i'll keep you posted.

Squalo

Our first CT was/is a walk-up, and the first time we used it Mrs Squalo and I agreed that we'd never be happy with a conventional/ladder access CT - it really is that good.

Have had our Tambo Omeo since August and could not be happier.

The walk though/up design was our first priority when we were looking for our first CT.

It became very obvious to us that there is a whole list of other factors involved and for us Tambo checked all the boxes and then some more. Well worth the trip to see them in Melbourne.

Walkway camper was the only choice for us - me being 6ft8 means I need the extra space for my feet to hang over the end of the bed  ;D

I think challenge camper trailers make one as well

Our challenge has the walk-in, great for carrying the extra fridge and porta-potti.  Also easier for bed access after a few

We bought a Mountain Trail Camper extended Expedition in 2009. We've taken it to Fraser Island, through The Kimberley, and we're off to Cape York in it this year. We couldn't be happier. Nick is also great to deal with and they are very well made.

I can't imagine having a camper now without the stairs and storage at the end of the bed.

Where is the Market Direct trailer made?

A direct quote from the fine print on their website:

"All camper trailer packages are manufactured and assembled in Brisbane, Queensland"

 Cracka

allterrain

I didn't know we had sold Brisbane to the Chinese. If they are assembled there where does all the manufacturing part get done

Follow Me Campers in WA and I think Jonno's are also doing a walkup or extenda trailer

Already there on the list - Follow Me Campers.

Couldn't find a Johnno's model - so not there yet.

Market Direct Campers - added to list. Very much like the Lifestyle Elite - hmmmmmm - looks like rip stop canvas from.............(fill here)

Probably doesn't hurt that they have an ex-Lifestyle employee on staff now....

Probably not.

But the integrated annex floor and storm-flap under the back door is a mistake.  Good luck to them..
