Anaconda Winter Sale

Just looking at the Anaconda Winter Sate catalogue and there is a swag on sale for $159, reduced by $90. Anyone have any experience with these swags? I need 2 and was thinking these are a good price.

Thats their home brand stuff. Most things I've looked at of their home brand is really made to a price. EG: chairs, tables etc. ...but if you only use it couple of times a year, then could be ok.

I bought a good used double swag few years ago, bloke who had it only used it twice and figured swags werent his thing. Saved heaps

I have the Dune Outback aswell which is a slightly different model, i picked it up for $210 down from just under $400 at that time, i have had no issues with it and slept very well in it, albeit after 30 JD cans

As D4 said Rich uses his a fair bit and seems quiet happy with it.

I saw their winter sale catalogue yesterday. On the surface the price reductions seem pretty good (30-40% of RRP), but it got me thinking that most of their stuff is never on sale for the RRP anyways, usually always much less, therefore effectively inflating the true savings.

That being said $159 for a swag seems pretty good. We paid roughly that each for a couple of no name chinese ones brought from ebay and delivered to our door. We weren't expecting too much, but in all honesty they are very well made and reasonable quality, massive in size (width and height) and came with a comfy mattress. The top canvas also can be removed completely leaving the top only covered with mosquito netting - ideal for hot nights. I sleep in a Sar Major king size swag that cost me $500 10 years ago - but if I had my time again I would buy one of these cheapies from ebay over the Sar Major in a heart beat!

My nearest Anaconda is Townsville, a four hour drive, although Bonnie is happy with that, as another camp oven at the right price is hard for me to pass up.

I have had this swag it for around 2 1/2years. My last one didnt have poles and lastest 20 years...

Anyway I have noticed a little diffence in mine and BD's swag with material but they both are well made. I have used mine plenty of times and never had a problem. The mattress is comfy and there is plenty of room.

I paid $199 for it from Anaconda. The centre pole can ba bit fiddly but i don't use it all the time.

You need to check your prices, for example:

Thetford 345
Anaconda RRP $220, Sale price $176
Great Escape normal price $149

Hence why I get price match.

Wasn't a swag it was a crapper, Thetford 345 that I was planning to get.
