Got retrenched 3 yrs ago, but worked all my life around the central coast nsw. Last pit was Newstan.

Never had the pleasure ( some may say displeasure ) to work in a longwall mine....all bord and pillar for me..

I use 3x rubber bands looped together for my fridge power, been like that for 4 years, and got a couple of spares in the glove box just in case they break...

After going through putting in the cable drag chain in my camper I would be looking at the rubber/elastic first up based on ease next time, although my fridge slide moves about 2m so is probably a bit of a bigger challenge than most.
