Jeez mate , known as the gayest town in SA, everybody's been thru Keith, ha ha.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, in the words of Seinfeld.

Gotta say that we weren't really expecting that much for a little country town, but we were pleasantly surprised!

$38, choose your own site, lots of green grass, amenities block was modern & spotlessly clean.

Town (on a Monday public holiday!) was bursting at the seams with people! Beautiful playground, with a miniature "railway" that just runs backwards & forwards along a single track, but actually even sounds like a train! ;D 2 bakeries (only 1 was open though) & it was scrumptious!

Quote from: Pottsy on March 10, 2026, 07:48:14 PMNow, that's a cracking good park.

Yep, not actually packed either, which is the first Park we've had so far that wasn't almost full!

We got a good spot way over the back corner as well, with no close neighbours & a little bit of shade so laughing ;D

Well, until the 30kph southerly change arrived at 6am! :o, which meant dropping the awning first thing ::)  :'(

Port Lincoln, after fighting savage head winds (30-40kph) the whole way down :'(

After setting up, decided to go back out & refill, in case prices go up another 6c overnight, same as yesterday! >:( Cheapest place is only a k or 2 so went there. Liberty but only fairly small, & has a sign on each bowser "50l maximum fill. No jerries"!!!, but the diesel pumps themselves are then tagged as out of service, so they're out! :o

Choice #2 was EG (Ampol) & they were fine – 309.9/l though! >:(

Have forgotten to post for the last couple of days, but now Balranald Caravan Park, after way too big a day! :-\

3 days since Port Lincoln for 1001k in 13h 28m driving! :o

That distance would normally be what do in 4-5 days worth of driving, which would be spread over 7-8 days (or maybe 10?) ???

No wonder we're jiggered! ::)

Yeah, yeah - I know some of you do 1000k/day, but you ain't us!!!

Yep, that's pretty well what we do, except that it's usually

drive, stop 1 night
2 nights in the next place
another 1 nighter
the stop for 3-4 nights, maybe up to a week

As you can tell, we're not usually in a rush! ;D
