Found this store today who sells convertors which will allow you to change battery types on different brands, could be handy for some who have dead batteries and a set of old tools lying around. They also make soldering irons which clip onto a battery tool

The ALDI batteries are pretty unbeatable bang for you buck, the 4Ah are usually $40 and they have good Samsung cells in them, you probably can't even buy just the cells that cheaply, you can also sometimes get them cheaper on clearance as well.

Thingiverse also has quite a few designs if you, or someone you know has a 3D printer. https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=ALDI+battery&type=things&sort=relevant&page=1

Building another one to add to the collection. I'll have 4 going soon.
That's my quick slap together site printer I built before heading to the central coast, last year.  1st time ever printing PA6-GF30 (Nylon). This stuff is crazy strong. Definitely not smooth on the outside due to the glass fibres, but definitely looks injection molded on the inside when you eventually snap it

Looks like that would need 28v batteries, all the cheaper batteries are 18v (or 20v which is actually 18v) that I know of.

Yeah. Maybe 2 *18v paralleled with a few diodes to reduce the voltage

People have harvested the 18650 cells out of the ALDI batteries to replace Makita etc batteries, but it's pretty fiddly. Looks like the V28 used different cells though so probably out of luck with that option too.
