So my wife's been at me for ever to buy acreage. We've found more and more that the closer you are to the city that more people seem to be free camping than they used to be, probably due to the affordability now of getting set up.

I don't like camping with others much, reminds me of caravan parks and those places are just depressing. On the long weekend we had coverage around the fire and she found a place that seemed to be perfect. 74 Acres, 10 mins from the River Murray, Water, power and even comms running past.

A third is open area and 2/3 is eucalypt forest. Got the contract returned signed today, settlement in 2 weeks!

The shed is just a roof because the council wont let me have walls unless there's a house on the block.

Further progress.... I am sure I will get at least one weekend of relaxing in soon!

Rock drilling is hot, dusty, noisy and not fun to be around, 700 metres of posts all up and that's only one side!
