Hi all ,can any one tell me what the track is like from the bypass road  into fruit bat falls then onto elliot falls camp site ,is there any water crossings to get to either of these two places and is it ok take camper trailer in .Tia

When are you heading up. There is a water crossing called scrubby creek that will vary in depth but has a solid bottom not long after you pass the turn off to Indian head falls.

We did the Cape 6 weeks ago.

If you come to Scrubby Creek from the south, drive along the right hand side of the bank to the end, turn left and drop down the sandy cutting to the water which is only about 12 inchs deep and you will avoid the bonnet deep water of the full length crossing.

Coming back, we climbed out the same way with no problems in our GU Patrol with 2 inch lift, 33 inch tyres (dropped down to 14PSI) towing 1.6 ton camper. Didn't even need the lockers.

Fruit bat falls track is nothing but a leisurely drive.

Other than being a bit warmer and the chance of storms, I bet the Cape is great right now with hardly any other people there!
