1.   At home in Cairns with family close to the pool to cool off with the hot FNQ weather.

2.   Butterflied Lamb on the Weber (over hot charcoal) and all the sides. I think the wife is doing a Pavlova but I think a glass of port and cigar will be my choice after a late lunch (I'm not a big desert person).

3.   Great Northern, Bundy Rum, White Wine for the ladies and Lemon Squash for the kids.

4.   Family and a few rings who are orphaned in FNQ this year while their families are down south.

5.   Sore head or not, I will be at work.

Spending it with the kids / possible beach ? and a BBQ snag or two  for lunch .
Reckon I might try  a 7 course dinner for once,  nothing too flash .................................................... [ A 6 pack and a pie ] 
Might drag out a few Old skool aussie movies to watch .. Smiley gets a gun / leylands across Australia / The odd Angry Shot / castle  or Croc Dundee etc .
Front up as usual  on Friday to deal with the Zombies.

4. Who will you be with. Nice group of family friends

2. What is on the menu; steak, bacon, lamb souvas, nachos with roast chicken

3. What is in the Esky; rum, red wine ( to go with the steak & souva's ) and a lot of beer

4. Who will you be with. My two boys, my Brother in law and his kids.

We will be returning on the Sunday - taking Friday off.

Whatever is on the BBQ on whichevers mates pontoon boat I pull up next to.
The esky will have some cahmpagne, poppers and water. I am off the piss atm.

Eating dinner in a restaurant looking at snow on the mountains is the most different Australia Day I've had in many years.

Took the boat out on the Hawksbury river, my brother was down from Brisbane.

Took the 4 1/2 month old puppy out on then boat, first time we've had her out since she joined our family.

Lunch was a BBQ chook and salads from the local takeaway.

Sitting on the banks of the Murray tonite, girls have gone to bed, we have turned the genny off, million stars, listening to some music having a few drinks on a beautiful nite. No better way to see out an Australia Day
