are they bad photos or does that thing look like its going to fall over standing still? Wouldn't wanna go over any erosion humps or get it on any sort of angle...
It just looks out of proportion - for the height V width.. very narrow, and as you say too high

If you put a fridge and or cooker access outside it seems to now become a hybrid.
The awning sitting high on the roof is a bit more exposed rather than side mounted IMO.

Why do manufacturers persist with locating the kitchen in the middle of the awning area?

These units look nice enough, but too narrow and high to my eye. A bit "tippy".....

Its really hard to find a one where the kitchen is functional and has plenty of storage but still gives you decent space under the awning. From the pictures the fridge only makes it half way under the awning. Lucky for us we have only ever used the Kwik awning and walls with our Kimberley Kamper so we are not used to huge space (adequate just not huge) of my softfloor counter parts, But I would like to be able to fit a table a few chairs and not be blocking the door.

I also think a pop top is a much better option to keep the height to base down, I would certainly be concerned about tipping.

But in saying that they are personal choices, and at least you would know you would have a quality investment.

Guessing a traditional caravan has an internal cooker/griller/stove, fridge, pantry, kitchen bench etc etc whereas this van has none of that.  Does that make it a hybrid?  Not sure.  Does a hybrid need a pop top to be a hybrid?  Again not sure.

Looking at the definition of a hybrid, it says "a thing made by combining two different elements" so guess it is a hybrid as it combines the shape of a van with the cooking, food storage and prep areas of a camper.

Don't really care what it is called.  Just reckon it is cool and I want one.  Just can't afford one.

Spotted this van at bright last week it's high lol I think the all white finish makes it look a bit home made, in think it's centre of gravity may make it a little tricky on the rough stuff it looks a lot taller than the other hybrid style off road vans I've seen like the complete campsite etc

I doubt the centre of gravity would be as high as some are suggesting. The vast majority of the weight would be in the bottom third or so of the van.

There is an old saying " If it looks right, It probably is right "  and to me  It dont look right . Just my opinion though . Not that it matters to the ones that are handing over their hard earned shekels
