I notice that Roothy will be releasing a book about Milo 23-Jan-17.
Curious to know if anyone will buy it and why?

I will be buying it because I want to do a 40-series built. I assume the book will provide a lot of info, with humour.

Sorry, wouldn't ask him for the time of day. He would sell his mother if he could.

....aka the grease whisperer...    actually though; I did have a soft spot for Roothy in the old days; before he went the way of all of the above. ...

Well, base on all the replies, I've reconsider buying the book.
I'll probably buy one of the manuals for a 40-series to assist with the rebuilt.

But there isn't any cooking recipes in one of those.

Mate true, but I cannot change my mind again and buy one because then I'll be worst than my employer (Government) that keep on changing their policies!

Can understand the over the top plugging of brands etc...and it is really just the way things are today with advertising sponsorship etc....but do you really think he would plug stuff that was sh#t ? Gotta say though that I get sick of the handbrake jibes !!
But doesn't Pat Callinan plug certain brands for his site ? What's the difference ? What about Macca or others on What's Up Downunder ?
Got nothing against any of these blokes....it's just a job that has sponsors that pay for the advertising isn't it ?
Having said that... I think there is a fine line between plugging a product and almost nonstop advertising in tv shows....one or two fishing shows are in my opinion an example a prime example of over the top advertising....so much so that it would stop me from buying those products.
Just my opinion boys...each to their own hey. Imagine how we would be if we all agreed on everything all the time...and what sh#t would happen hey.

Cheers

... that reminds me - I had to smile the other day on Fraser; (though not that much; or worthy of being posted in the "What made you smile today" thread..  LOL)..

I was watching one of patnhat's shows on the telly recently - the one where he is rolling up and down sand dunes in WA..    I remember him saying you're better off in low range on the sand...

(I have always rejected that idea)..

Well I tried it for a bit on the inland tracks on Fraser last week; and driving an auto - I now (mostly) have to agree with the low range setting for that type of environment...

"worked for me"

I think he would and has plugged anything for a buck. Problem with that is people listen to what he says. Sells his sponsors gear, good or bad.
