I'm a member on LCOOL, have found it to be an excellent technical forum.

As an Admin here, I admire their stance, there are no religious or political threads over there.

This forum was created when Brett and founding members found themselves disenchanted with the forums at the time. And there have been a couple of breakaways from this forum too, some with acrimony. So let us not criticise those others but continue to contribute and enjoy.

Its got some great info but nearly impossible to find it via there search function.

Some of them also seem quite "sensitive". Nissan at the best of times is a taboo word. Now with the y62 don't even consider a comparison of the 2. Apperantly they don't even compare, even though a 200 has a option of its own petrol V8.
But its great for a laugh

Been on that forum for years, have hardly ever posted, go there sometimes to look at new posts.
Has been invaluable for me when I have needed to fix a few little problems with the 80 series.
Each forum has its purpose and I am more than happy to have LCOOL as one which is heavily moderated and I can ask a technical type question without getting all the off topic replies.

And as long as you only ask the question you are fine. When you try and answer the question is where you come unstuck in nazi utopia. If your answer does not exactly emulate that of the chosen few, you will be harassed for intruding in the realm of the gods, harangued for your ignorance, shouted down and otherwise threatened with dis-communication.

Even some verrrrry knowledgeable and hugely experienced toyota nerds now avoid the joint for these reasons.

I am rather boring I guess, I only got in trouble for putting Sth E Qld instead of Gold Coast.
It was chosen due to the fact that at that time we were looking at a move  near Boona, but not good enough apparently

I like Lcool. Great resource without much fluff which is how I imagine they like it. Shame that some threads get ignored though.  Not sure why.
Rarely, if ever on myswag is a new thread by a new member ever shunned even if it is on a topic that has been covered extensively.

See, that's why I'll never make it in a place like that. There is no way I'd even contemplate justifying myself to them for something like that. I would have said, "It's SE Qld princess, deal with it!"
