Hi all
I was about to pull the trigger on a lifestyle camper last week after inspecting a few but before i did i quickly jumped online and looked at camel campers.
They seem to be really cheap.. Heaps around the 4500 to 6500 mark.
Is it becuase  they are no longer operating?
I am definately looking a few next week end but woondered why the low price..

Camel closed up shop. (only a few months back)

MDC recently bought the brand and rights a few weeks back.

According to the press release from MDC - https://www.campertraileraustralia.com.au/news-events/news/1610/mdc-buys-out-aussie-made-camel-campers

they intend to continue / re-start Australian manufacture and sell them alongside the imported MDC range under the Camel name.

Discussed here at length...

Some of the Camels you are looking at may be the "Nomad" which is an "on road" model, me thinks most people are after an "off road" model so this reflects in the price. Most of the later Camels have "Stairs" which makes them more desirable to the lesser endowed than the rest of us.
