Filter on tank output?

I have been checking out some water filters but many seem to be use on the mains pressure hose when filling the water tank.

Does anyone have a filter on the water tank outlet (after the pump) that won't restrict flow too much? I have a 4L/min whale-type pump.

Mate I haven't got mine yet but I have decided that I will go with the B.E.S.T filter. They advise to reverse it to clean every now and then so I will be getting one with hose fittings for ease of getting out

I bought these ones and run them in parallel after the pump to allow for greater flow, seems to work fairly well.

Ours has an inline garden irrigation filter between the tank and pump.
This is more about keeping grit out of the pump rather than purifying the water.

The add says "coconut carbon for sweeter taste" does it change the taste that much?? Do you use it for getting rid of the tank water taste?

Also I would be more concerned with filtering before going into the tank if I was filling up from an unknown source.  Better not to have rubbish/sediment/wrigglies ect sitting in the bottom of the tank because every time you fill without draining, you contaminate the next fill.

I'm on your side with this one KB.
Once bad stuff is in the tank it's really difficult to eliminate and get the tank clean again.

With the set up that I have I am changing some fittings so that I can use the filters to filter fill up water as well.

If need to pump from creek I will be able to swap hoses so the infill water will be filtered, when tank is full change the hoses back so the tank water then will also be directed through the filters.

Don't know if there is any taste at all , but I will say that the water is good drinking water.

Once bad stuff is in the tank it's really difficult to eliminate and get the tank clean again.

Not sure what the others do but my pumping from an external source will be plumbed through the filters anyway so should prevent the nasties getting into the tank hopefully 

Good filters should allow you to drink and wash dishes etc also and not be super concerned about the quality of treatment

Good investment in my mind.

I'm in the process of going electric water pump on the camper. Only taken me a year to get off my ass and do it....

Just ordered a B.E.S.T water filter to put after the pump. Won't have one on the inlet as I only plan on putting tap water into it.

In those pics you guys seem to have high pressure pumps. Mine is an inline little white thing that I don't think would have any hope of pushing the water through at any usable volume. May need to address that by the looks of it.

My water is always filled from a drinkable source eg. tap but it just tastes a bit weird, I was hoping that there might be something similar to those Britax water filter jugs that can be plumbed in.
