Hard to know what's happening inside one of those......

Can get the CF-50,  with transit bag for $729.95 currently at Tentworld.

https://www.tentworld.com.au/buy-sale/waeco-cf-50-fridge-freezer-incbag

My CF-40 is still going strong,  repair free for 7 years now.  It's run every day acting as a bar fridge when not camping.

I have always been adverse to shopping with retail stores who offer Price Beat guarantees.  They seem to work on the theory of charging those unsuspecting,  or too trusting of their 'Best Price Guarantee Posters'  and then catch those by charging too much.

Should you then reward the business who tries to over charge you on every transaction?  But instead thank the retailer offering the good price from the beginning?

Sure,  it does work well for your backpocket short term but what is the effect long term?

chisel

I'd be interested to know if Anaconda will price beat tentworld on the CF50.
It's a good deal but I'd prefer $650 without the cover.

Anaconda are selling the CF-50 pack for $999

Tentworld is $270.04 cheaper than Anaconda right now.

Yes,  you can use their 10% Price Beat Guarantee and you can buy it from Anaconda at $656.95 saving you $73.

Is Anacondas pricing method really a model you wish to support?  Where you need to rely on the cheaper pricing of competing retailers,  in order to make them offer competitive prices?

It also appears that Anaconda does not wish to compete with businesses interstate.

I wasn't saying I'd definitely buy from anaconda but just interested in what they say given the big difference in price.  I very rarely try price matching.
I've bought thousands of dollars of stuff from both tentworld and anaconda over the years.  I prefer supporting tentworld but anaconda is more convenient for me.

that's so you don't come in with Ebay ads saying they are cheap.. they match a genuine business.. I have no issue with that or we'd end up with no shops anywhere..

At least with anaconda and tentworld ect you walk in pay your money and walk out with your purchase, My experience with 4wdsupercenter is they take payment then you wait months for delivery, (ok was 7 weeks last time) while they refuse to answer emails or return calls re when your purchase will arrive.

Sometimes their delivery dates are way off. Often they are advertised as a way off in time.  On various forums many have been surpised by the quickness of delivery.  Like most I am happy to wait a little longer to save some money.  Its called planning ahead.

Took mine out over the recent WA long weekend.
Worked fine on 12v although hard to judge what it was pulling (power-wise) given it was freezing for the weekend.
Until then it has been in shed on 240 working as a beer fridge and no problems.
Have been trying to get an old Waeco CF60 transit bag for it but no-one seems to have any stock and as Waeco don't make the fridge anymore not producing the covers either.

Throbbinhood

Looks like they've been pulled from sale?  I can't seem to find any mention of them on the website?

Hi guys, my nephew is thinking of buying one of these adventure kings fridges.  He asked my opinion on them but I know nothing about them.  Has anyone got one they can give a review on?

Cheers Muz

I've got 2 now - had one for about 18 months and the other for about a year.
Use 1 as a freezer & 1 as a fridge on longer trips. 1 also runs as a beer fridge on 240v at home.
To date haven't had any problems and they seem to work as well as my mates Waecos & Engels.
With some careful use I can run them both of a 130ah battery connected to my 160 W solar panels when free camping.
Got 2 Waeco covers off Gumtree prior to Kings having their own transit bags.
At the price point they are I'm happy and it's a step up from an esky.

If you believe the guys at 4wdSupaCenter, they ARE Waeco's. Apparently Waeco's make them for Kings. I know the Kings 60L bag fits our 60L Waeco perfectly.

Like a lot of stuff these days, the BIG factory in China makes several almost identical items alongside one another.....one bloke ( or girl ) has the "name" brand sticker and the bloke beside him has the "other" sticker !!

Yep, when I got my camper it came with a 40l fridge, same as the waeco cfx-50 but with their own logo on it. Funny thing is, they say its a 40l, but its actually a 50l. Its exactly the same a the cfx-50.

This Kings fridge is going well...

I think it was more an issue with the manufacturer not so much the brand 'kings' wasnt it?? But they sorted it out....the manufacturer that is.
